Stopped working after one month + no exchange

Picture completely went out after only a month and, because of their return policy, Best Buy would not even do a simple exchange for an identical item. I had to go through Insignia's customer support, which required a lengthy phone conversation (longer than it would have taken to drive to the store and exchange it) and in-home service appointment with a 12-hour window. Not worth it!

    Bad Business Decision

The TV quit working about 3 weeks after we installed it. We took it back to best buy and the return process was difficult and time consuming, BB attempted to repair it and then determined it needed to be replaced. We purchased it on sale but BB then tried to charge us the regular price to replace it since it was no longer on sale. So we took a refund and purchased a TV from another store. Very unprofessional by BB and a total waste of our time. Won't buy another TV from BB.

Decent TV but bought it to use as a menu display but there’s no way to turn off the auto power off/sleep function. When you reach out to support they tell you to go to the sleep timer options and select never but there is no never options. Also can not adjust display brightness on the Amazontv functions/apps just on the source inputs.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the auto power off/sleep function and the inability to adjust display brightness on the Amazon TV functions/apps. We understand how frustrating this can be, and we appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, the option to completely disable the sleep mode is not available, but you can extend the sleep timer duration by pressing and holding the HOME button on the remote and selecting "Sleep Timer." For adjusting the display brightness, you can change the settings for other HDMI inputs by holding the Home button or the Settings button to open Picture Settings. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we are committed to maintaining the quality you expect.

Beware: Fire TV Daily Notification Ongoing Problem

    |
    |
Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed.
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Important to Know: All Amazon Fire TVs are experiencing an ongoing problem with daily notification dots. The glitch is an Amazon Music notification that is sent to your TV daily. It is an ongoing 3 year problem with all the Amazon Fire TVs. The 5/2/23 recent update didn't fix the problem. Settings can't prevent the daily error. We have 4 Fire TVs, with all getting the daily notification dots. The recent update actually made the problem worse. We won't be buying anymore Amazon Fire TVs, with their notification glitch and constant advertising. Big mistake!

I normally have nothing but great things to say about insignia products but this time is not the same. Constantly have to recalibrate the video and audio to match up so their lips match the talking. TV stays on even when powered off multiple times. Not as user friendly as other smart tvs. Just really disappointing. Being used as a bedroom tv so thankfully not much interaction. I wouldn’t suggest this tv to anyone. Feel like I got the lemon. Thankfully the price was a sale.

Won’t connect to wifi anymore. We’ve had it for 6 months. All was great and then one day it stopped connecting to the WiFi. We bought 2 of the same TVs at the same time and this is the only one that’s not working. The other one works fine. Would not recommend at all.

I can understand how frustrating this must be, especially since it's a significant investment. I'll make sure to pass along your feedback to our team, and we'll look into the issue further. Just don’t buy this even if it is on sale. Not reliable at all. Controller died within a month, it would not connect to the tv. Or when it would “work” it would send each input twice. Additionally the app that can be used to control the tv is also unreliable and takes ages to connect.

The tv in itself is nice but once I upgraded my internet speed from 75 to 300 it couldn’t handle it. Would not connect to internet, freezing and buffering worse than when it was low band. I was told by Best Buy that Insignia doesn’t work well with higher technology. Had to exchange for the Samsung which works perfect.
