Fire TV - Yeah Right

I should've just bought an Android Box to stream my content. The image quality is lame, it doesn't come close to my other LG 55" 4K and much older Samsung 43" HD set. Would you believe in less than 6 months I'm giving it away to my nephew to do whatever - I don't care. Buy this garbage if you choose to, but later you won't care what happens to it either. I'm just sayin'.

Good Picture

DOA - Sort of

The overall reviews were excellent (4.6 stars), and the TV boasted 4K HDR10 capabilities with built-in Amazon Fire TV. The TV was well packaged to prevent damage in shipping, and everything was straight forward with the included feet (only requiring a Phillips head screwdriver to install). Powering on the device was not the quickest, but what can you expect from the budget category. I never got to assess the picture quality of a 4K HDR movie because I couldn't get past the software set-up. After entering my Wi-Fi password, it said that it connected, and then moved on to the update screen where it attempted to download software updates. That failed, and directed me to contact Amazon support. I didn't do that because I suspected something else was wrong. Instead, I contacted Insignia, and after several hard reboots of the TV and even my Wi-Fi router, and a factory reset of the TV (why am I factory resetting a TV that just came direct from the factory?), it was determined that I need to exchange my unit at the store of purchase. So much time wasted on this TV already. Do companies not do QA checks anymore?

Shoddy remote

Not worth it

By the end of 2022, it started having glitches. The screen would glitch and bounce....and it progressed over time. I could unplug it for a minute or so and the glitching would stop for a few days so I wasnt too worried about running to buy another tv. It is now September 2023 and the tv was still glitching but now it has a black screen. I tried everything suggested and even did a full factory reset before the screen went totally black. The glitching did not stop after a reset. Its been about a week since I did a factory reset and now have nothing but sound and a black screen.

I am impatient and it gets annoying when this happens. It happens like twice a day for me. and i have to turn on and off the HDMI 1 cable in order for it to reset. Other than this issue I am happy with this purchase.
