Just exchanged it and the exchange has dead pixels right out of the box, too. What the hell? Going to have to go back to the store, yet again, and hope for the best. Wasted gas and money over a defective product so far.

When played, the installed apps (Prime tv, Netflix) show poor image quality. The screen scrambles or a pink/purple overlay covers the screen. Switched the HDMI cable, unplugged the tv for 2 minutes (hard-reset), and reset to factory settings. Still poor quality. Waste of money and now a poor gift I have to replace.
