When played, the installed apps (Prime tv, Netflix) show poor image quality. The screen scrambles or a pink/purple overlay covers the screen. Switched the HDMI cable, unplugged the tv for 2 minutes (hard-reset), and reset to factory settings. Still poor quality. Waste of money and now a poor gift I have to replace.

I know the feeling of being without a TV just after a little of getting a new one. Please, let me comment that the behavior described does not seem right. Please, give us a call at 877-467-4289 for specific troubleshooting for your particular case.

This meant I had to find the TV remoter each time to change it back to the correct input. This was with a Tivo mini as the source and a Sonos Beam soundbar, Picked up the Sharp with Roku and haven't had that problem yet.
