Customers are saying
Customers admire the 43” Class LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV Edition TV for its exceptional picture quality, affordable price, and simple setup process. The Fire TV integration is also well-received. However, some users have concerns about the durability of the TV, with reports of short lifespans and screen issues. Additionally, the remote control could be improved for better user-friendliness, and the viewing angle is slightly limited.

Won’t last
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 2nd Insignia product that I have purchased from Best Buy in the last 2 years. This TV was awesome and I loved it. Until 1 week ago when the screen went blue and I was told it would cost $150 to fix. You can buy a brand new one. But the TV should last more than 2 years:

First (and last) time trying an insignia
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv to mount in my son's room. Worked ok for the first 12 months. Some minor gripes about the user interface, but it worked like a tv. Tonight, went to turn it on... Nothing. I am two months out of warranty. I tried a power reset, left it unplugged for 10 minutes. Still nothing. It seemed like a good deal, but you get what you pay for. And now I will have to pay more to dispose of this paperweight. I've had TV's that lasted over a decade. To get one year out of a TV is unacceptable.

Sad
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first glance, this TV was great then the problem started. The functions started malfunctioning, which was solved by turning it off and back on. Then it just went blank, you could still see the TV a bit if all the light were off, the backlight went out after 8 months of having it. The manufacturer warranty coverage was still in effect and it was refunded. Not worth fixing.

Lasted not even a year
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I li ed this tv until it went black. I tried all ways to restore it but seems a burned out backlight may have been the issue. Had to buy a whole new tv.

Apps launch by itself
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this tv at first. But recently it will launch Netflix on its own. Even if I’m watching Netflix it will go back to the home page over and over.

Waste of money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased tv on 3/13/19 and it had to be taken back on 4/4/19 to be repaired under the manufacture warranty because the screen went out. It still had sound but no picture. Tv was barely used in the three weeks we had it before it went out. I’m very unsatisfied with this purchase!

Trash in under 2 years
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stopped working about 6 months ago. The TV died in about 1.5 years of purchase. Never had this happen. I am assuming it's some sort of light in the TV that went out. I did email with the company to trouble shoot and was told it's passed the 1 year and I should bring it in to a local repair shop. It's just been sitting for now not really sure it's worth the hassle of a repair shop. Before it broke it was good though.

The odor was too much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia 43” smelled strong like plastic or electrical chemicals out of the box. We kept it for weeks hoping the smell would dissipate. It never got any better so we had to return it.

Junky tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this tv for just over 2 years. I started losing sound on it a few days ago. I was able to get the sound back usually be turning the tv off and back on again. Then the screen started flickering. Now the screen is just black. I tried unplugging the tv and plugging it back in as well as resetting it to company standards. Neither worked. This tv is a piece of junk.

Not a good buy.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After only 4 months of using this Smart TV, it broke don't. It turns on but only stay on then opening screen. I called tech support and they were not able to fix it either. Reset the TV and erase all the data and tried to reboot it but no luck. Technician will come later to fix after the lock down. Good thing it is still under warranty. Get the Best But warranty so they will just replace it when it break.
