Customers are saying
Customers admire the 43” Class LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV Edition TV for its exceptional picture quality, affordable price, and simple setup process. The Fire TV integration is also well-received. However, some users have concerns about the durability of the TV, with reports of short lifespans and screen issues. Additionally, the remote control could be improved for better user-friendliness, and the viewing angle is slightly limited.

Display Gone Bad on Two Separate TVs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 TVs during the Christmas season of 2018, and within 1 year one TV has multiple black lines going vertically across the screen, obstructing about 25% of the TV in total, however, it still technically works, you just can't see everything. Within a year and a half the second TVs display completely went out, starting at first to get dimmer, until the screen went completely black. The TV still turns on, and when you use the remote, you can hear the TV responding, so I assume the display is the only problem, but seeing as I can't see anything, I guess I can't be sure. Before the display went out on the second TV the audio also didn't match up with the video when using built in apps such as Netflix and Hulu, luckily I didn't notice this often as I typically used an Xbox to watch things, and the audio problem didn't occur when using inputs on the TV. Overall, these TV turned out really disappointing.

Dead on Arrival
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not my first Insignia TV, and I'm a long time repeat BB customer. After spending a lot of time preparing and mounting the TV to the wall, turned it on, and ... next to nothing. Blue power light goes from solid to flashing blue, screen seems to do something, but doesn't display anything usable (solid black with a slight glow). None of the remote buttons do anything other than occasionally resulting in a delayed two tone audio beep. No support option to chat or call anybody. Email form online only. BB website also keeps forgetting my password and I have to reset on a regular basis (stored and retrieved from a secure PW vault, so not a typo or something forgotten on my end). Boxing this piece of crap up and driving the 50 mile round trip to return it. NOT happy!

Blu-Ray Playback Issue, Geek Squad Terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blu-Ray playback on my new Insignia 43" 4K had a purple overlay out of box. Google indicated a possible HDMI issue with cable or TV HDMI input connector. My Sony player worked (and works) fine with current Samsung TV and I switched the cable to be sure it wasn't the cable. I called Geek Squad and was disconnected twice after being put on hold. I then tried online and "Sid" had me unplug and restart the player. When I informed him the screen was still purple, he responded "Good", then wrote "Thank you for your time" and ended the chat! With this type of "service", the TV is going back tomorrow. This was my third Bestbuy TV but the earlier Samsungs did not have issues so I never tested their service. No more Bestbuy products that might need Geek Squad service. The kicker is that I was prepared to buy a new Blu-Ray player if the player compatibility had been the issue.

Arc problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it in an exercise room and just need to watch Netflix. I have it connected to a Yamaha receiver using arc. Everything works except there's a volume bar for the TV that keeps popping up. Every few seconds it will pop up for a few seconds, then disappear for a few seconds, and then pop up again. It's very annoying. Happens with everything I watch. Even when navigating the menu. Since I watch it while exercising, I tolerate it. But if I were watching something for real, it would be unbearable, If I were only using the built in TV speakers, the TV would be OK. The image is poor compared to my other TVs, but decent for the price. If you plan on using arc, avoid this TV.

Waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 43 inch Insignia in 7/21. The TV crashed in 10/23. The warranty expired 7/23. The screen went black it has the sound but no picture. I have purchased many brands of TVs over the years, the Insignia is the first that only lasted 2 years. I will never purchase another Insignia. I don't recommend this TV. It's a waste of money

No Voice Control via Echo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only way to voice control this TV is by holding down a button on the remote and speaking into the remote. You cannot control it from any Echo or other Alexa-enabled device. I have 3 Fire TVs, all different brands plus a regular TV using Fire Stick. I have 5 Echo devices. This TV is the worst implementation of FireTV or any Alexa-enabled device of any kind I have seen. If I have the remote in my hand, why do I need to issue voice commands which get slower and less reliable responses? If you are interested in this TV because of the voice commands, keep shopping.

Not the best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having the tv for a couple months we are really disappointed in our purchase. For the last week every single time we turn our tv on it has disconnected from the internet and we have to restart the tv in order to reconnect to our network. Such a hassle. We also have noticed that the screen lighting flashed which is very distracting while watching tv. Maybe we just got a bad tv but would not want to buy another one.

Poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never have I had a smart tv where the audio and video get out a sync constantly! When this happens I have to either clear out the app (sling or Netflix) and then hope that works. Once every few weeks I have restart back to factory setting because that’s the only way to fix it. Happens on many different apps and I have read it happens to most people! Save your money get a better tv that doesn’t have annoying problems like this

Garbage TB
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely disappointed. Shortly after the warranty expired the tv stopped working altogether. The tv is stuck on the opening screen. No amount of troubleshooting with Insignia or Best Buy helped. Now we have a practically new tv that is garbage. Both Best Buy and Insignia have told us we are out of luck.

If I could give negative stars…
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Backlight started to go out within 2 years. Display scaling was messing up prior to that (picture would display small in the wrong resolution). Just threw mine on the curb. Awful purchase. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Bad experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After five hours of trying to set up this tv, I was made aware by a technician at Time Warner Cable that this tv is not compatible with Time Warner.
