    Good value if you don't need a 4K Smart TV

    I didn't need a 4k Smart TV, only a basic 43" 1080P TV for the kitchen, which is connected to a satellite receiver. The TV is incredibly light at 15 lbs. making it very easy to hang on the wall. Out of the box the picture is set to power saving, which isn't terrible, but is on the dim side to save energy. I set it to Standard, the picture looked pretty good and would probably satisfy many people. I set it to Custom and was able to tweak the picture to where it is very good, bright, clear, good color and good contrast. If you don't know how to setup a Custom picture, a quick search on the Internet will guide you, it is worth the effort. The sound is surprisingly good, with plenty of volume adjustment range for most people. It has a full array backlight for even brightness, and an IPS type screen for good angle viewing. For the money this TV is a very good value, providing a nice picture with good sound.

    Great tv with really good DTS sound. I almost don't need a sound bar. Easy to set up and cheap. I have another Insignia and it is 10 years old. It still works so I think this one will last for a long time, too.

    Have had the previous version of this model (NS43D420NA18) for 3 1/2 years. Good TV for the price, which was the same those 3 1/2 years ago. Enjoyed the picture, used with sound bar, but speakers are adequate for small room that's not noisy. Also used it as a computer monitor for laptop/PC and was easy on the eyes even at a close distance. However, today it wouldn't turn on consistently and seems to have had the LED back-light fail, and possibly the logic or power board. Watched a few videos on YT and found it is repairable, but would cost me half the replacement price to add tools to my bench for the job. Given the great price, it's a dumb TV that'll just work with my existing streaming devices, will probably get the current model to replace it. Hopefully it last at least as long, longer with fingers crossed. Will most likely be getting a 4K (or 8K, or ??) before that day comes. Would still recommend.

    I got this tv for a really good price as it was "out of box". Still looked new to me since it still had all the stickers and clear plastic film on most edges and I got it in the original box. Tv picture and sound are good. Not a smart tv, wasn't looking for one, so not a big deal. Doesn't have the ability to connect via bluetooth without an adapter. Legs aren't as stable as I would prefer, so I have to be careful when moving it around. All in all, a great tv for the price and fit what I needed it for, spare bedroom tv.
