Like others, got this on sale during the black Friday event. I already own a 32" Insignia (had it 2 years now) and it has been great as the main family room TV with 3-4 hours of daily use every day for the last 2 years. When I saw the deal on this TV, I had to snatch it up! Now we are sporting the 46" in the family room and the 32" has made it upstairs to the bedroom. The picture quality on this model is great, the brightness really surprised me. HD channels really pop out at you. The inputs all work fine, I use the HDMI for my DVD player and the standard composite video jack for the Wii. There's also an RGB component connection but it shares one of the same inputs with the composite connection so you can't hook up both at the same time. Not a big deal, the last time I needed an RGB connection was years ago with a TWC HD box that wouldn't work with the HDMI port but for some reason did work with the RGB. The sound could be better, although it does get fairly loud, it sounds strained and a bit tinny at higher volumes. Definitely not a deal breaker though. In all, I have been very satisfied with Insignia products and will most likely purchase one again once the right opportunity comes around.

Me and my wife were looking for a new flat screen after our first one crapped out. Found this deal online and got curious. Saw the floor model and instantly fell in love. I immediately asked for one and because of a pricing error at another location I was able to get it for 399.99. PLUS I got another 10 dollars off for signing up with best buy. I also got some of the best customer service ever with an associate named "Jennifer". The T.V. Set-up was easy and fast and it also didn't take me long to find the perfect video settings. To all the people complaining about sound you must be crazy. The sound is AMAZING!!!!!!! I was gonna purchase a soundbar with the T.V. but I did not. I'm glad I didn't because I would not have needed it. So to put it simple buy this set. Unless your an over-examining tech geek I'm pretty sure you'll love it. BOOM!!!!!!

Bought this tv to replace our "old" projection tv, What a clear picture, the sound quality is also great, and it was easy to program. Picked it up on sale, so we got a really good deal. This is the 3rd Insignia television that we have purchased, never had any problems with them, just plug-in and enjoy!! Why spend more when you don't have to!!

    It's a Good 46 inch TV

Bought this during the black friday sales, and so far nothing bad happen to this TV. It's a good quality picture, some channels may vary because they not shot in that 1080p goodness. Now my complaint will be that the remotes that I have aren't able to switch the HDMI channels, like if you had a device on the 2nd HDMI port and i'll hit input on one of my remotes nothing happens, it could turn up or down the volume, on/off the TV, might even go into menu but can't switch HDMI port. Other than that it's all good.

This is the first Insignia product that I have purchased but so far I am very happy with it. I am normally a Samsung guy but with the Black Friday pricing I figure I would give this Insignia 46in TV a try. Installing the base was a breeze as well as the rest of the TV setup. Picture and sound is great and better than what I expected especially considering the price point.

The picture is very bright and clear. Seems to have a better picture than 60Hz would indicate. The connections are simple and ample enough for normal use. The sound bar fixes the sound but a lot of new TVs have this problem.

    Tricky set-up, terrible picture quality

Installing the stand was trickier than the instructions implied. We found it was easier to screw the stand on to the mount first and then screw the mount on to the TV, whereas the instructions tell you to do it the other way around. We plugged everything in as instructed and turned it on and immediately after turning it on there was a huge white cloud in the center of the TV. When we turn it to Home Shopping Network where they use bright white backgrounds, you can hardly notice the white cloud, but when we turned it to a movie where everything is dark, the white cloud in the center of the TV is very bright and very distracting. We adjusted the picture quality like several forums suggest to get rid of or hide this issue but nothing has worked. I am very unhappy with this TV, like I said, it sounds great, it's very loud even when set on a low volume but the malfunction we've experienced will give you a headache looking at it. Going to try to return it immediately.

    Better Off Spending More

We purchased this TV this morning and so badly wanted to love it. We initially wanted a 120hz but thought the price was decent for this Insignia, plus the screen size was nice as well. Knowing it was a 60hz, it was a gamble purchasing it anyway. So we took this one home, set it up, sat on the couch and watched in disappointment. The picture quality is extremely choppy. There's no way you can watch sports on it or even regular TV without being bothered by it. It also wasn't very sharp at all. Took it apart, boxed it up and went back to BB tonight and purchased another brand (2 letters) for $200. Like I said, we really wanted to like it but 60hz is no good. When setting up, the screwed are a bit tough to get in and screw down so careful not to strip the threading.

The sizes on the Best Buy website are wrong

I was looking for a TV to fit a space above a fireplace. The maximum height to fit (with stand) was 26.5 inches. I bought this TV based on the price and height size of 26-1/8 inch - a perfect fit for the gap. That is until I got it home and took it out the box to find the height is actually 27.5 inches without the stand and over 29 inches with the stand. The specification book from Insignia states these measurements. How could Best Buy get such a basic thing wrong! Another trip back to the store with the car roof down in winter!

Their products are terrible. I bought an Insignia TV at Best Buy and within six months the tv broken. It is covered under the warranty but really who sells a piece of equipment that breaks in just six months. Avoid their products. You'll be glad you did. Like I wrote in the title, buy anything else.
