This was a gift for my elderly parents so they would have a larger screen. They do NOT have HD and do not want to pay for it and this TV, although bigger, will not allow for full screen usage when SD is being used. SO what was the point of getting a larger TV??? Obviously nothing. Seriously, everyone does not pay for HD and the manufacturer should take this into consideration. We got a 46" TV but can only use about 40" of it. I would return it, but my sister swears it's better. Ugh. Pay attention and ask questions when you purchase this!!!!

I own 6 Insignia televisions and would not even think about purchasing another brand tv.

I Was looking for a low coast TV with good quality. This TV for the price is great.

Overall this was a great purchase, for our family this suits us well.

Television was an inexpensive purchase, but the picture quality, which is important, was less than average. In the light the picture is fine. Turn the lights off and watch a movie or TV show with nighttime scenes, and you will wish you spent more on a different TV. There is a uneven distribution of light elements within the TV that add an unwanted glow. Make sure you check this when you get it at home or even in the store if possible.

Original delivery had to be returned because half the screen was shadowed. Second delivery working fine. Had to return first one to store.

for a budget TV with a large picture this TV is AWSOME

Over all I haven't had this tv that long to determine if I will buy another one so as of now I am satisfied with this product!

Decent product for the price and brand. It would be better if there were better connections for older surround sound systems

Overall, the value was good and got what we expected. Sure to bring good viewing and gaming enjoyment for many years.

Not a TV I would put in my family room as the primary TV, but it’s a good TV for an “extra TV"

Bought this for TV for a project. Worked great! Used it for a video presentation.

Per other one star reviews, my TV also came broken out of box as well (screen)! Best Buy reaccredited my account so that was nice! I would rather have a 3D TV anyway which this one was not so I think it actually worked out better for me. I just have to pay a little more for the 3D but that's not necessarily a problem with me as long as the screen isn't cracked again which I'm going to make sure that it is not this time by opening the box at the store and making sure before I leave with it that it is in good condition so I don't have this problem again (no more "TVs" delivered for me unless I have the opportunity to inspect item before UPS departure because it was actually a close call for me on my return; I had to contact 1.800.BestBuy and have it shipped back in order to take care of the problem with my order).

I bought this tv for my son for Christmas so he could hook it up to his xbox. The salesman made it sound like it could handle my sons tech wants and that it would be compatible with his xbox. It wasn't. It is blurry and you can see delayed pixels when hooked up to gaming console, creating a lag. We even bought a separate cable that was supposed to "enhance" the picture, couldn't use it. So, he used the old tv and I moved this one out to the living room only to find out I had to buy a special adapter to hook my electronics up to it. You only have limited options when selecting picture set ups as well so you have to settle for weird coloring or too bright whites.

Good price but picture quality really suffers. The picture size is good but motion is blurred and slow to catch up.

Price is the key factor here. Are their better TV's at this size? Oh yeah, but if they're $200 more expensive and you don't need Smart features because you have Apple TV or a Playstation or whatnot, this one gets it done. I've had several Insignias, and of the budget TV's, they rock. Good picture for the price, okay sound. But it's all about "what's the cheapest 46" TV I can get away with that will hold up and has a decent pic?" This one gets it done. If you find it on sale, and it's this versus some name you've never heard of, go with this. If all things are equal, and it's this versus a Samsung, LG, Sony, or Panasonic, of course go with those, even if they're like $50-$100 more. But if it's "as cheap as possible but still looks good and won't die on me," I've had great experiences with Insignia.

This is my 3rd Insignia. We have one in another room and another in the porch. I like the brand. This set is basic, but how fancy does it need to be? I can hook my gaming consoles up to it, stream Netflix and watch cable. It's a really nice size, easy to set up, pretty good picture and sound. The only minor complaint I have is the thickness.

I bought this TV to replace my old Panasonic projection TV. It was on sale for $329, which is a very good price for what you get. The picture quality is very nice with plenty of options to customize color ect... Blue Ray and DVD look great on it, and it also works great as another computer monitor, text on web pages is sharp. The super thin bezel was a key point in my buying decision, and the semi glare screen is better than more expensive TVs.
