Great Little Wall Charger

Insignia 47W 4-Port Wall Charger is a device that I definitely plan taking with me on my next trip, which is the main reason I got it. When you’re traveling, there are never enough wall outlets and they are rarely in a convenient location. Whether it be off to a hotel or touring in an RV, this charger will be coming with me.
The charger comes with a 4-foot cord, which helps with the inconvenient locations of outlets. It’s also designed with one fast USB-C port and three standard USB-A ports, which helps with never having enough outlets. It allows me to, simultaneously, charge my smartphone, smartwatch, earbuds and tablet. The only thing wish I have for this charger is that it came with two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. It seems more devices these days are using USB-C. To remedy that though, I plan on using the USB-C to USB-C adapters I have on hand.
Another feature that makes a nice difference, in my OCD opinion, is the included stand. It lets you prop the charger up so it sits vertically. It helps keep everything organized, while also preventing the charger from sliding off the table.
There’s one other thing I’d like to share in regards to my charging habits. Whether at home or while traveling, I always use an outlet timer. At home, I have a WiFi-enabled timer that’s set to charge my devices for 3 hours over night. I have the timer plugged into the wall, then an outlet extender plugged into that. It’s a little messy, but it works. When I travel, have almost the same setup, except I use a less fancy timer where I have to set the time each night. With Insignia’s wall charger, I plug it into the timer and the whole thing will actively charge for the amount of time set on the timer.
The bottom line is that I can recommend this great little wall charger. It helps make charing all your devices clean, organized and convenient.

Needs another USB-C port

Like my title says, I wish this had 2 of each USB ports. Especially now that a lot of cell phones and other electronics are starting to use USB-C. Or even 3 USB-C and a USB-A port. That is my biggest complaint with this.
I would also personally like to see a cord longer. I prefer 6ft at least if not 10ft. Longer cords just makes it easier to plug into walls and still have plenty of room to run this to a few spots. Especially if a wall outlet is behind like a couch.
Other than that, it works great to charge multiple electronic devices at once and fairly fast with charging them all as well.
Right now, I am using this to charge my phone which is thru the USB-C, and then my watch, headphones and GoPro. Again, all of those, except my watch, came with a USB-C to USB-C cable. So, I had to find some USB-A to USB-C cables.
But overall, it still seems to charge my devices faster than a regular wall plug.
Again though, I am not sure why not have at least 2 of each USB port. This is my main reason on giving these 4 stars.

It Gets The Job Done

The Insignia 47W Wall Charger isn't awesome but it gets the job done. I don't like that Insignia advertises that you can quickly charge multiple devices at the same time but you can't. At least from a fast charging perspective. It's quick in that you don't have to charge them one at a time. It also shows a laptop as if it can be charged. I found that this is partially true. It needs to be a small laptop but it would only charge it from the USB-C and with the laptop off. Overnight I got to 100% charge but when I tried using the laptop while plugged in, it didn't even acknowledge a power source. My devices only fast charged with the USB-C port. All of this is mostly fine because I'm using this for overnight charging of my devices anyways. However expectations need to set.
I was able to charge my small laptop, tablet, and cell phone all at the same time. I didn't notice any heat issues or them charging slower. Despite my complaints about the advertising I like this wall charger. It frees up outlets and protects your devices. I think it's worth getting for charging multiple devices overnight.
