Roku content adds so much to the cord cutting experience but wish it would allow channel number input. We receive 50 channels over antenna and with the free movies through apps, it is a huge hit. Also, it allows a 16Gb/+ USB drive to work as a single channel DVR for an added bonus. We had to change the TV settings significantly to satisfy our preferences, and found we had to change the action smoothing to off to prevent old shows from being too processed to the point where they look modern and shot with a cell phone. The remote buttons have a bit of lag that I hope they will improve with a software update. Settings [ TV Bri-Darker, Pic Mode Movie, Backlight/Brightnes 45, Contrast 51, Sharp 58, color 60, Tint 0, color temp normal, act smoothing off]. I purchased 3 Insig 48" Roku before but now have this 55" and a 49" too!!

Has a problem with Netflix

We returned this TV back to Best Buy due to it’s apparent inability to handle Netflix. The unit would load and play Netflix but would hang up and bump back out to the menu at the exact same time (within a minute or two of the start) no matter what was playing. We played 3 different programs and they all quit and bumped back out to the Netflix menu at the same time point. We reset to factory specs and reloaded everything several times, removed Netflix and reloaded it again, but nothing would fix it. We remembered we had the same problem with this exact same brand a year or so ago, also with Netflix. Everything thing else such as picture quality etc was fine. Returned it to Best Buy who handled it extremely well. We exchanged it for an LG model for slightly more and now all is well.

My only problem with it is there is no ethernet port, which is indicated in the specs under connectivity. I am not receiving good enough quality when I stream via WiFi. I have an ethernet cable that was plugged into my old roku, and I need to plug it into my TV. Unfortunately I am going to have to return this TV. It is a fantastic deal if you don't need the ethernet!

Everything works great sound and picture except for netflix every time I open the app and start a movie or show it kicks me out within seconds and sends me to the home page of the tv menu. I plan to return it and get a better TV.

My biggest problem, it frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi and has to be reset. Now it seemingly will not connect at all. I guess it's useless now.
