No Ethernet, bad remote, not bright, etc.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.#1 - the specs are bad since they say it comes with "wifi,Ethernet" but no Ethernet port (I'd give it another star but known, longstanding errors should be considered fraudulent). The remote has no numbers, and you have to use several buttons to do a simple task so it will wear out quickly. Even on the brightest setting, the TV is not as bright as my 10-year-old set. The mute button was put right next to the volume down button so it's easy to inadvertently mute it when trying to decrease volume. Nothing said Roku would take up 1/3 of the screen menu with ads - and they can't be removed. Lastly, Roku TVs should now include voice and headset jack on the remote.

Good Picture, but Terrible Network Connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV because I had a good experience with a 32" Insignia, but I wanted the integrated Roku TV. Although the picture on this 49" TV is good, it's otherwise a disappointment. The sound quality is not very good, which is no surprise, so I got an external sound bar. The worst thing about it, though, is that it randomly drops the WiFi connection. None of my other devices have this problem, so I know it's the TV and not the WiFi. I contacted Insignia before the warranty ran out, but they were useless. I will never buy another Insignia TV.

Good TV but the Roku app is slow to respond
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this TV last week. The TV itself is great but the Roku applications are very slow to respond. I have a Roku stand alone box on a TV that is second generation that loads twice as fast for Youtube, Netflix and Amazon videos. You would think that a TV that is 4 years newer would have better technology that that older Roku Box.

Glitchy & Slow- Save your money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Insignia tvs have a known issue with Netflix crashing 2 minutes into a show..every single time.. Remote response and loading was very slow. It shut down or restarted numerous times for no reason in the middle of watching shows. We only had this for 3 days which was 3 days too long. PLEASE spend like $50 or so more and get a better name brand!!

No good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv only two years ago and now the screen just went black!!!! When it did work my only issue with it was the volume. The volume is terrible!!! You almost have to set the volume all the way to 100 to hear it. I’ve had my toshiba tv for over 15 years with no issues, I would expect this brand new tv to last at least 5 years but it bit the dust at only two years.

Seemed ok for a month, then...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is actually the second of this model I’ve owned. The first came home from Best Buy and never worked. So back to the store for a return and exchange. The second worked for a month. Now anytime we load Sling it will work for about 30 minutes. Then it will freeze. Sometimes it will continue the sound while the image freezes. Sometimes it will just restart. Most times the thing goes black and the remote won’t work on anything. I have to unplug and start over. Then it’s fine. For an hour or two. Then repeat. Sorry Insignia. This is our first (technically second) and last of your TV’s.

Netflix won't work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though the reviews stated that the Netflix crash issues were resolved, we just bought the tv today and Netflix crashes within 2-3 minutes of watching something. We are going to return the tv tomorrow.
