I just love the size and it’s performance is excellent it’s a real good value for money

We bought this chest freezer to help us store additional food. It is quiet, fairly spacious, and inexpensive.

This is a great freezer for my garage at home. Ordered on line and was able to pick up with a van. Great best buy service to your car. It not that heavy neither. Just place it where you want it and turn it on ( l suggest regular temperature). I wish. It just had more instructions.... I got a nice White color and it doesn't take up much space but has lots of room!! I didn't know it had that much cubic feet. More savings with my freezer, and a good buy, you can't beat it. Needed something small yet spacious inside and reasonable in cost. Perfect gift and my mom loves her new deep freezer.

great size- very consistently keeps the temperature at the set temperature. Perfect size for an apartment and for extra baked goods and fish! The freezer on the refrigerator is much less consistent with respect to temperature--so the quality of the frozen food is compromised some. With the consistent temperature of the chest freezer--food quality is preserved. Good price, the Best Buy staff was super accommodating/helpful/nice/fun.

This is my first purchase of a deep freezer and I am pretty happy with my choice. For the capacity, this unit on Best Buy was at least $30 cheaper than any other model and other websites. The unit is pretty quiet. I hear a faint sounds when the compressor kicks in but it's not noticeably audible with other home appliances. I use a temp sensor to keep an eye on the temp inside the check. I get 0C with the dial cranked up only half the way. I had to return the first unit because of a dent so it might be a good idea to check before you bring it home. My only reason to give it a 4 star is that the unit is not Energy Star Compliant but compared to other units that are compliant the annual cost of energy is not that high.

This freezer is great. We bought a quarter cow, about 80 lbs of beef, and still have some room for other items. It was packed perfectly and in great shape when we opened it all up. We've only had it through the end of winter and beginning of spring, so I can't say much for how it holds up in the garage with the midwest heat, but our friends have had the same one for a couple years and they said they've had no problems with keeping their items frozen.

Thus Insignia brand 5.0 cu. ft. Freezer is perfect for storing items I can’t fit in my refrigerator freezer, like two Turkeys, some frozen meals, side veggies, and half a dozen pizzas, and still Tommy for a 10 lb. bag of ice, several cartons of ice cream, popsicles, and some frozen shrimp, with room left over. Almost no frost built up in the two months I’ve had it. Very good for the price, too, half of what other brands cost.

Solid construction, has a very minimalist design that does not bother you visually, it takes up as little space as possible. I like that it has a door that can hold open by itself. And it does a very good job keeping things in a deep freeze. I do not need to turn the freeze dial more than a third of the way. I have this thing packed with alot of rib meat, boxes of restaurant steaks, shrimp and crawfish, and can fit plenty of other frozen items, as well.

My wife says it is just so cute. I say it is well built and functional. It is very well priced too. As empty-nesters we just needed a little more freezer than our refrigerator provided. This fit the bill perfectly. I can keep my artisan ice for my bourbon in there without my wife saying I am taking up all the room :-)

As a traveling single bachelor, it’s sad to admit that I live on more than my share of canned and frozen food. I had reached a point where I would plan my shopping always having to estimate the volume of my small freezer space in my refrigerator/freezer provided by my one room apartment. I bought this wonderful reach-in style freezer at Best Buy and planning my shopping became so much easier.. Then another circumstance arose.. One hot summer day I looked at the overhead dining room ceiling fan and said to myself.. wouldn’t it be great to have my bed in the dining room and be able to sleep under that whisper quiet ceiling fan.. well; I did it.. of course I kept my main bed in the bedroom, but I took out the dining room table and chairs and set up a smaller bed in the former ‘dining room’.. Almost as soon as I did it I questioned my own judgement.. what about that reach-in freezer? Won’t the motor kick in at 2:35 a.m. and disturb my slumber? Not at all! The freezer is just as whisper quiet as the ceiling fan! Here it is.. late April.. the freezer is approaching it’s one year anniversary since I purchased it last May.. still.. whisper quiet.. heck.. there have even been days in the winter where I would spin the living room tv around and sleep on that bed without even using the ceiling fan.. the quite freezer only an arms length away.. and not a sound..

It’s been exactly one year since I bought it! So far, it works excellent and that why I recommended my brother to buy the same one and he did so but this year 2018 was $10 more compared with last year on Black Friday when it was for $99.99 but it’ Really worth it. I do recommend buying it if you didn’t do so yet. Why paying almost $50-$70 more for the same size 5.0CU with different brand while they all do the same job?!

So far so good. It is surprisingly big for the price, and keeps meat appropriately cold. I bought it for the price, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's been about 2 weeks.

This was perfect when my freezer broke. It was adorable, light, and easy to install!

We got a great deal on this, we've used it for almost 2 years now, made a huge difference in our food savings, and still does. It was light enough for me to handle on my own, and haven't seen a jump in our electric bill, never had an issue...just make sure your kids don't unplug it...that did happen.
