I inspected the product closely before using, and noticed a hole in the main seal. In my experience holes get bigger over time not smaller so maybe there shouldn't be a hole in the main seal? There is a long wait to find a freezer during the Spring of 2020 and this is the only one I have been able to get my hands on. It is small and quiet so there are a few places I can have it located in the kitchen. I am waiting on a 7 cu ft GE Garage Ready Chest Freezer that I orderer March 14th. So I guess I will keep this in the kitchen and rotate in food from the garage. A 1/4 beef (half of a half side of beef) should fit in 3 cu ft. Whatever doesn't fit will stay in the freezer side of my refrigerator (where 1/4 beef fits with no room for anything else). This little chest freezer will give me some space back in my refrigerator freezer.

Works great, a lot of space for food but doesn’t take up a lot of room. We were disappoint when we opened the box and it was dented, however it’s in our basement so we didn’t bother exchanging it

Have had it for several weeks now and it's working great. Excellent size for a freezer in a back room or garage. Having a light to indicate that it is on is nice. Everything staying nice and cold. Only issue I had was a damaged item upon pickup, which unfortunately I didn't notice until I got home 60 miles away. Had to return it for a new one. Recommend checking for damage, especially if you live far away or pickup is a challenge.

I have had a brand-name chest freeze about this size that failed on me within 1 year, but this unit has been going strong for over 3 years. I do get some frost build-up and being in the desert I find that odd. This unit is in my porch and is exposed to a wide range of temperatures.

Back in the day, freezer cabinets might have been a bit on the bullet-proof side. This one isn't because the whole thing is fairly lightweight. But, it still keeps stuff frozen and there's more room inside than you might imagine. And, when we needed it most (our larger freezer was slowly dying), it was available and on sale. At the sale price (under the century mark), I doubt you can go wrong. Will it last 30 or 40 or 50 years like those made 75 years ago? I doubt it. Sill, it keeps stuff frozen and, at the sale price, you could afford to replace it every now and then. It is now serving as our stand-by freezer after we took delivery on the much harder to get 13 cu ft Insignia model.

Just the right size to keep all the frozen items that we just couldn’t fit in our regular refrigerator. Now when things go on sale I can take advantage of the sales. Food stays very cold and I don’t even have it turned all the way up. Very pleased with this freezer.

Great product that works really well. A bit of a bummer though when I opened up the box after I got it home and the right hand bottom corner was dented. Didn’t want to return it since it meant i would have another 3 hr round trip to swap it out.

I’m a major couponer at publix and buy lots of items in bulk. I now use this as my main freezer because the one in my fridge is too small. This one keeps extremely cold. Only thing is every couple of months I have to scrape the ice/frost build up from the sides. This may be because i live in a hot and humid climate.

I have owned this 5.0 cu foot freezer for about 1 month and so far so good. I originally bought a similar sizd chest freezer for a little more money from Home Depot, but returned it immediately. The reason for the return was because the power cord was located (looking straight at it) on the right corner. Having it located there without additional cord made it so that the cord could not be directly plugged into the wall outlet, but rather require the use of a power strip or extension cord that the instructions frown upon. I received a unit from Best Buy that was in excellent shape with no obvious dings, dents, or other items of disrepair. In fact, I almost forgot that the model from Home Depot had an electric plug and that the third prong just came out of the plug while the Best Buy's model was very secure.

Delivered by BestBuy without any marks or dents. Cooled down in about a day. I set to max and put a thermometer inside. It gets down to about -10F. Outside of the initial 24 hours, I've never heard it running. I've opened it between 2-3 dozen times over the past 1.5 months and there is only the slightest bit of frost around the top inch or two of the freezer. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a great little freezer for what I needed it for. I just needed a small freezer to place in my garage and this is perfect. The only downside is that I cannot place anything above the freezer and the metal walls are pretty flimsy. Overall I have been really happy with it. It is quiet and seems to be working great. I am curious to see how the frost does after a year of use.

We've had this freezer for over two years and it has been outstanding. It's quiet and perfect size. Only drawback is that it is non-frost-free, so some (small) build-up of ice will occur at the top. Recommended is to use crates to organize and make better use of the space. It's a very good size freezer. Very glad I purchased this model!
