I just got the Insignia 50-inch TV today, delivered through DoorDash from my local Best Buy, and I have to say, this TV is incredible for the price! The graphics are stunning, the setup was super easy, and it truly gives you the best bang for your buck while still being budget-friendly.
One of my favorite features is that it comes with Fire TV built in. My old TV had the cords, and it was frustrating to use, since I always had to clean it and plug it in and out, then it eventually stopped working properly near the end, so this is a huge upgrade. Navigating through apps and streaming services is smooth and effortless.
The sound quality is also amazing, way better than I expected! In fact, it’s better than my old Samsung TV, which really surprised me. I don’t even feel the need for external speakers because the built-in ones are that good.
Overall, I have zero complaints about this TV. If you’re looking for an affordable, high-quality television with great visuals, excellent sound, and an easy setup, this is the one to get. Highly recommended!

Roku User Trying Out Amazon Fire

I’ve been using this TV for a few months now. I had been previously loyal to Roku smart TVs, which I still enjoy, but wanted to try switching it up. Here are some highlights of the pros and cons (please note that these are based off MY own preferences, everyone values different things)—
TLDR: Great TV with highly customizable quality picture, convenient compatibility with Echo Dot, huge App Library. Super annoying display defaults that can’t be changed, time consuming software updates, occasional glitches.
PROS:
-Amazon Echo Dot compatibility.-
I haven’t experienced any problems since pairing them together. I like the voice search and ability to still have controls through the Echo Dot AND Amazon Alexa app.
-Picture quality.-
I think its default settings are great, but there’s also so many customization options to get it exactly how you want. I love how you can use different picture settings for each input source and the TV will save it without automatically applying the same settings to all inputs. Helpful for when I’m gaming.
-Sound quality-
The sound is crisp and has the ability to get LOUD. No audio issues thus far.
-Apps galore.-
The App Store has pretty much anything you can think of!
-Good remote.-
It’s sleek and simple without being so tiny like the Roku remotes.
CONS:
-Standby mode timer.-
My biggest frustration with this TV, enough for me to knock off a star. It only takes 10 minutes of inactivity for Standby mode to shutdown the display. Basically like a Low-Power mode. That’s way too short for the timer in my opinion. This wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that there’s ABSOLUTELY NO OPTION to adjust this setting. It’s completely separate from the sleep timer and screensaver, their settings have no effect on the Standby. It’s extremely annoying when I need to pause a show and can’t just jump right back into it. Which leads me to the next annoyance…
-Standby mode default wake up.-
When you “wake up” the display, you’re back on the Home Screen. Meaning if I have a show paused and walk away for a bit, I have to find the app I was on all over again to continue what I was watching. I just don’t understand the point of it, especially when in only takes a short period of time before Standby mode starts.
-Smart remote is a little too smart.-
Just like how a Smart TV will require occasional software updates, so will this remote. I’ve never had a remote with voice search feature, so maybe this is just standard for them idk. The remote updates aren’t frequent, but when it needs one it can take a while to finish. Remote is inoperable during this time so you can’t really do anything on the TV.
Don’t bother me but might bother you:
-Occasional picture glitch.-
Every once in a while, the screen will very briefly turn green, it literally lasts less than 1 second so you might not even notice it. But that glitch can sometimes happen sporadically throughout the entire day. After some research, I found that this seems to be a pretty common issue with this particular TV. But it doesn’t happen enough for me to have a real problem with it.
-Home Screen marketing.-
Ads, ads, ads. As soon as you turn on the TV, you’re thrown into ads rolling across the top of the screen. I find it lame and unappealing given that there aren’t any custom settings to change how the Home Screen looks (aside from rearranging apps). It’s a small thing but I do miss how you can get cute little themes on Roku.
