Glitchy, Limited, and Constant Advertisements
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV after my old Insignia stopped working after 10 years. I was initially very excited about this TV, the picture and color were great compared to my old one. But, I'm going to be exchanging it for a different TV for the following reasons: - Because it's a FireTV, it will immediately begin playing ads on the home screen upon turning the TV on. It's very annoying, I don't want to be advertised to the moment I turn on the device. - This TV has almost no settings you can change or control. For example, the TV will turn off after about 10 minutes of inactivity. There is no way to change this unless you download the developer app onto a computer which is ridiculous. So when I pause to take a work call, if I go over 10 minutes the TV turns completely off. Meaning I have to navigate back to the streaming service and program I was watching to resume. - The main issue I'm having is that the TV will glitch when streaming. I get random quick flashes of green/pink static that are becoming more and more frequent. This happens primarily while using YouTube and sometimes when using other streaming services. After looking up ways to troubleshoot this, I found it's a known and common problem with Fire TV's, something to do with the frame rate, which you also can't adjust via the TV settings. This has been a known issue for at least 4 years and still has not been fixed. It's annoying enough that I'm exchanging for a Roku TV and avoiding Fire TV's altogether. I would avoid buying this TV - I bought it because it was cheap and I guess I got what I paid for.

Excellent LG Top Load 4.3 cu in Washing Machine

Solid TV with the bells and whistles

constant buzz and not an Alexa user
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had two Vizio 40 inch t.v.'s and have been quite happy with the products, ( 1st one met it's early demise due to power surge during lightening storm along with Blue ray, not the X-Box ). All these years I thought it was plugged into a proper surge protector but just a standard power strip. Recently received new for Christmas Samsung 65 4k Crystal UHD CU7000D with excellent picture quality, ( remote is very basic almost an afterthought in my opinion from the designers/engineers and barely use it, sound quality is not great either ) thought we might add the Insignia 50 inch 4k due to being on sale. Even on mute or low sound volume 1-2 sound bars, constant buzzing sound, red power light remains on at night, and the most aggravating thing is that you must choose Alexa upon initial start up out of the box, ( which we do not have and all three led to returning product and received gift card for full purchase ) must choose Alexa to either enjoy full use of the aps or go with non-Alexa option with less aps to choose from. The deal is off when you don't advertise to the public upon purchasing, almost feels as if you don't have all of the information before making an informed purchase. Just print it on the box advertising department. Now this was an impulse purchase without having the time to research reviews, and hope this gives future buyers time to do their due diligence before purchasing this product.

DO NOT BUY OPEN BOX ONLINE---HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I never write reviews but Best Buy customer service has me heated. I purchased "Open Box - Excellent". Online it says this version "Includes all original parts, packaging and accessories (or suitable replacement)." IT WAS MISSING THE POWER CORD & REMOTE. When I called Best Buy (on the phone for 1.5 hours), they told me because it was open box it does not guarantee missing parts are included and there was nothing they could do since it was Open Box. I even offered to go to any store in person with my receipt to pick it up, but I did not want to pay for these parts. They said the only thing they could offer me was a refund or I could buy the power cord & remote separately. HUH? Why would you say it includes all original parts if it doesn't? If you are buying Open Box, make sure you do it in store to actually check it has everything. I ended up spending slightly more on a used TV as I would have on a new TV because of their absolutely ABYSMAL customer service and limited ways to actually help anyone.
