Great TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently purchased this TV after seeing it in store a few weeks ago. To me, it is a really nice tv, but the tech person in this house is in love. His only complaint is we also have the Omni TV from Amazon, and you can talk directly to the tv (without pressing the alexa button on the remote). Spoiled! We do have a sound bar for extra sound.

Good product
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this tv for my mom in the nursing home. The quality blew away the thing that was previously in her room. Only issuevis every now and then the sound stops working. Requires unplugging for at least 30 seconds and plug back in. Fixed

Great tv with bad issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great tv and me and my kids loved it, but after about two years it suddenly one day started going downhill and had a black screen when we turned it on, we then realized that if we unplugged it for a few hours and then plugged it back in, the problem would go away, but after a few days it would start doing it again.

Insignia vs Samsung = Winner
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t quite sure about this purchase, the price was right but I’ve only had Samsung Smart TV’s. This has exceeded my expectations, the picture quality is excellent, sound is incredible, I’m sold to buy another for our family room!

Good TV set
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the price but the viewing angle is not as good as my the regular Nsignia TV that i tried to replace. Despite being a better technology. You’ll enjoy it if you’re not viewing from an angle like i have to.

would be a good dumb TV but ruined by bad software
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this TV for about 2 weeks, and this is my experience so far. Pros: 1. Picture quality looks good. It is undoubtably better than the 4k non-HDR LED TV that it replaced. The picture isn't 'great' but its good enough for my living room. I also own an OLED, so I may be spoiled. 2. The speakers are decent (when they work, see below). I had a soundbar on my last TV but I can't use it with this one, so luckily the speakers are sufficient. CONS: 1. User Interface is SLOW. This has generally been my experience with Fire TV devices after a while but this one was slow right out of the box. 2. Speakers randomly don't work. In the 2 weeks I've owned the TV, there has been 3 times when I turned on the TV and there was no sound. Every time I checked to make sure the speakers were enabled in settings, and they were. In 2 of the cases, restarting the TV (not with the remote power button but with the 'restart' option in the settings menu) solved the issue. In the 3rd case restarting didn't help and I had to pull the TV from the wall, unplug it, and plug it back in. 3. In addition to the speaker issues, there are other general stability issues that resulted in lockups requiring the TV to again be pulled from the wall to be un plugged. One time in the middle of a show the video & sound froze with pixelated green bars across the screen, didn't respond to the remote, and required being unplugged to force restart. Last point, this is not really the TV's fault, but the remote signals overlapped with my RCA sound bar so you cant navigate the TV menus without adjusting the bar volume and you can't adjust the bar volume without skipping back & forth in the video. So I can't use my soundbar with this TV and I had to unplug it. Overall this probably would've been a good 'dumb' TV but it was ruined by terrible software.

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works as well as you need it to. The menu can be a bit laggy but it functions well enough to use without any problems. For the price it's a great TV.

Overall a solid TV, but not great for antenna use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I like the TV and I am going to keep it. I "cut the cord" awhile back and use an antenna in my attic for live local stations. This TV's tuner doesn't seem to be quite as good as my other TV's. Occasionally, the picture will pixelate, where my other TV's never do. Also, the up conversion from the antenna's 1080i signal to 4K, at times can be really bad. But the best part of the TV is the Fire TV built in. When hooked up to an antenna, you get a TV guide with your local stations and your "live" stations are like an app, much more integrated than if you bought a non-Fire TV and added a Fire stick. Overall a good TV, but don't expect any stations you get over an antenna to be all that great. I got this on black Friday for a decent price. If I had to pay full price, I think I might have returned the TV and gone with another TV paired with a Fire Stick.

Insignia QLED 50 Inch
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over all nice picture at a lower price for store brand tv. May want to inspect open box purchases before taking home. Missing plug and manual and had to take second trip to store. Employees were very helpful.

Pretty good so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good so far. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks so I can’t say much. My previous BB brand tv worked for about a year. I do like the picture quality on this tv. Very bright, but I lowered it. And the volume sounds good.
