Doesn't' do dark well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For. The price. It isn''t bad however I watch and game a lot of darker themes and the. Tv lumps it all together. All definition was lost watching the. Deathly hollows....the cave scenes and the actors standing together outside hog warts all of the cloaks. Became one with the wash out of black. The. Tv does bright. Colors well just not good. For darker scenes

I don't recommend this tv. The sound is bad!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is not good. The sound occasionally goes out and I have to turn the tv off and back on to get the sound on. This started happening day 1. The tv does have good picture quality.

NOT for antenna use, horrible packaging
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first and last Insignia. As others have remarked, this generic TV doesn't work well with an antenna which is one of the MAIN uses for a non-smart 1080 TV. The antenna receptor must be the cheapest they could find, and they put it underneath, going up, so the antenna pulls down from gravity = poor design. It couldn't even pick-up the local ABC channel @ < 15 miles away. My older LG has no problems using the same antenna. Cheap price, cheap components.

Poor design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design of this TV is absolutely terrible. The cable input is recessed into the TV, so you have to bend the coax and practically stand on your head to get the coax screwed in. Second, it has a HUGE red status light (about 20 times the size of normal status lights) that lights up the whole bedroom at night. You can’t put tape over it because it’s also the remote sensor! I took it back and went with another brand. I will never buy Insignia again.

Expensive paper weight
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for my son in June 2019. In February 2022 the backlight went completely out, the TV will not work and cannot be fixed per the BB tech. My son, who lives in the same house with me has Greek Squad protection. Best Buy would not replace the TV because I purchased the TV and not him. We are left with a broken TV that is only 2 and a half years old and no concessions. I feel very wronged in this situation. I think it is reasonable to expect a Best Buy product to be functional for longer and when not, responsibility should be taken properly.

TV Screen Blank After A Year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV for the price as a Christmas gift for the family. Now when turned on, TV is blank and only sound works. After researching the issue, found out this is a known issue with Insignia TVs. Cannot be repaired, only replaced. Even under warranty, not worth buying if it will have to replaced within a few years. You get what you pay for so buyer beware.

LEMON
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I literally bought this TV 3 weeks ago TODAY. No sound, NO picture and I’m being told I have to wait A WEEK for someone to come out and look at it which IRONICALLY will be exactly 30 days from the date of purchase. I was NOT offered a new TV or money back. I will never purchase this BRAND again or EVER shop with BEST BUY. Before the TV went out, I had an absolutely horrible delivery experience that BEST BUY tried to place BLAME on FED-EX. Now the TV doesn’t work. DONE.

TV defective from first power up!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose to ignore the online reviews, bought the "good deal", plugged it in, it got to language selection for set up, and turns off. Getting straight to the point, brand new TV only stays on for about 15 seconds...
