    I wanted to get a large screen TV for my 87 year old mother, who was living in an assisted living facility. She didn't need anything special and anything with a tone of bells and whistles would only confuse her. The Insignia 50" TV was perfect for her. It had a nice big screen and was only $200. I thought the price was incredible for the size. The picture quality was average, but didn't matter in this situation.

    For $235, this TV was a great bargain. While there are more full featured models, I needed a basic 50” TV and I’m happy with my purchase!

    I bought this for playing dvd and streaming some web based applications. For the price and screen size it is a great value. Not 4K so what... I can’t get that good of content anyway
