No its not a smart TV but a firestick costs less than upgrading to something thousands more. And honestly if something goes wrong with the "smart" aspect, at least I'm only replacing a 30 dollar stick and not spending a ton on TV repairs. I feel like this is comparable to those old TVs they put VHS and DVD players built in. When one of the things got messed up you basically just didn't have that function anymore lol
