    The TV would constantly turn pink or not show anything. The only fix was to do a factory reset, which we had to do often, and we would have to go through the entire setup process again each time. We bought it in Aug 2017, and it is now Mar 2020. The TV just died. There was an audible pop, and smoke rose from the TV. There is now no picture.

    Unsatisfied because ive only had this product for three years and it stayed in the same spot the whole time, and now it just goes out for no reason. i was told the protection plan i bought would be covering it the whole time but now im told im basicallly screwed. not buying this brand again!!!

    We used this TV for less than a year and one day it didn't turned on. we've trying to get the warranty but the technical support from the store has not been able to fix it, we've been waiting more than 3 months. Get the geek squad protection if you get this product, because the warranty from the manufacturer is not that good.

    Would not be able to recommend this TV. When we went too set up the TV we were led to a page that told us we needed to wait for a phone call from a Roku representative. We were later contacted from a 1 866 # and were told we would have to ante up a minimum $99. fee in order to proceed to have the TV set up. So, we returned this TV.

    Loses Connection Far Too Often

    For some unapparent reason, the TV not only loses connection to the WIFI, but will also not pick up ANY WIFI connections. While every other product in my home is connected to WIFI—meaning there is no problem with my home WIFI—this TV will not pick up any WIFI connections. Not a single WIFI connection is found.

    I purchased this tv because of previously owning Insignia. The picture and sound quality are poor. My old 1080 picture looked better than this. Returned right away.

    The tv stopped working after about 6 months you’d turn it on and it wouldn’t go past the insignia logo screen. Tried taking it back but they said it was out of the return date... so I was out a good chunk of change. I’ve used insignia TVs a lot before but this one was a huge disappointment.

    After 6 months this TV picture panel went out. Our warning was two weeks prior a thin line appeared across the screen. The in a matter of watching the news multipal lines flashing screen at round lines then no picture. Stay away!

    From the moment I plugged it in it had an electrical burning smell to it. Luckily the picture went out in the 15 day window so I could unload it for a full credit. I bought a Samsung instead. Engineering defects. I am sure they will work on it but in March 2018 or any time close don't buy this.

    The first one i purchased the this RV the audio was intermittent. When I returned the first one some how some of the parts dropped out of the box. after four trips to the store I finally got he second TV to work. there service leaves a lot to be improved on. TV may be ok service not good.

    I guess you get what you pay for. TV lost picture 2 years and 3 months later. Warranty was good for 2 years. It was very disappointing because I have other TVs that last for years. I will never buy this brand again. It’s trash.

    I bought this TV 2 years ago from today. A tv shouldn't go off in 2 years. Screen is gone. I have all best way to fix it from google and youtube, I couldn't fix it. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this for two years.

    This TV has been issue after issue. Best Buy has sent a technician every time to try to fix the issue. They have changed multiple parts on each visit and up until today there are still issues. I would not buy an Insignia brand again.

    Terrific TV for the Price

    It was time to upgrade the bedroom TV, and this Insignia 50" had all the features I was interested in, and at a sweet price. The TV setup easily once I accessed the .pdf version of the actual manual. The HDMI ARC was a necessary feature to connect to my Samsung Soundbar. I had to enable the CRC to make the HDMI ARC work, but once I changed that setting, I was in business. Running an Ethernet cable to it instead of wifi, so streaming shows in HD are awesome. Can't believe you can get a Smart TV with 4k resolution at these prices. Hopefully it lasts a few years till I need to upgrade again. Ordered a fully adjustable wall mount from you know where online, which was easy to install and fit perfect for this TV. The speakers are weak, but who uses them anyway?
