a bit flimsy for the cost of the unit. The tank is not easy to empty and replace, it always sticks when putting it back ( am sure it will break pre-maturely in due time). The timer on the unit is not designed well at all. It must be re-set every time the unit turns on/off. They should have designed a better way to set the timer to go on or off at set intervals. The unit does work in removing humidity from my basement.

I have only used this dehumidifier for a few weeks but am happy with its performance so far. My only complaint would be that the cabinet seems not very sturdy. I go the extended geek warranty and feel that with that I can be assured the dehumidifier will last longer than my last dehumidifier. At this point I would probably buy this item again. But only time will tell.

So far it's working very well. Pulls a lot of moisture out of the air quite quickly. We keep it in our bathroom to help keep mold and mildew down during hot showers. The fan reminds me of our powerful oscillating fan that we use for white noise to sleep to. Got on deal of the day for $149.00 and had some rewards points!

my old dehumidifier need to be replaced and this Insignia was the perfect replacement for my needs, is much less noiser than my old one suck humidity much quicker easy to move an pefect for this cold season especially if you live on a concrete house

Excellent equipment, works very well. We used it to remove moisture left in a flooded room and to dry carpets after washing them, and in both cases, it completely removed the water. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Works fantastic!!! The feeling inside my shop when you walk in is soooo much cooler in the hot days. Without that extra moisture in the air it’s almost air “conditioned”. Draws gallons of water out of a 1200 sq ft shop with no problem. Will purchase one for the house next time it’s on sale.

We caught this item on sale and it is definitely worth what we paid! Love that it is larger so we don't have to empty from the basement too often! Multiple settings and options for how you want your dehumidifier to run, just took me a few tries to realize how to set it the way I wanted because there aren't really instructions, just a labelled diagram of what the buttons are.

I already had another model of 35-pint model. I use it for my master bathroom after taking a shower. It is really working well and keeps my master bathroom clean. When I need another one, I did not hesitate at all, and went to BB to buy this bigger model immediately. Really love it.

works as good as other brands or better..just as quiet also..

Works well. I ran it for a couple days and reduced the humidity in my basement from 75 to 45. Only time will tell if it holds up. Also, I was able to save 25 extra bucks with an energy rebate from my electric company.

unit arrived on time as there weren't any in stock, price was cheaper than others in the same size, this replaced a GE that died exactly 4 years from purchase, this was the second GE I had neither lasted more than 4 years, hopefully this one will last at least 4, plugged it in and when it started humidity was at 65% I like to keep my basement at 45% checked it in the morning and it was 45%. very happy with it so far.

I live in a house that was built in 1900, the basement has a lot of moisture in the summer. I run this from May/June till August/September and it keeps my basement dry all summer. I use the hose drain and run it to a floor drain and it is constantly dripping, with out that I would have to empty the tank a couple times a day.

This thing pulls a ton of water out if the air. I have it in my basement and if i rub it full blast i jeed to empty the tank every day easy. I'm working on getting it hooked into a drain so i never need to worry about manually emptying the tank. I would buy this again.

The unit is quiet compared to my Kenmore predecessor. The water bin feels a little low on the sturdy side.

This dehumidifier is very easy to use. It has Low noise.

If this unit continues to work as it has worked so far, I would consider changing the review to a 5. I read all of the sources that advised against buying a home dehumidifier manufactured in China. I wish you good luch in finding a unit manufactured outside of China.

Within 1 day of when I hooked up the new Dehumidifier, the humidity in our house when from 50% to 35%. We had another one that would run all the time and it could only get to about 48%. This is a great dehumidifier, and we love it.
