It's been great. I hooked it up to a hose and haven't had to even think about it. I've comfortably raised my thermostat by 1 degree. It was a good buy!

My basement has been damp. I had another dehumidifier but it wasn't keeping the damp down. This Insignia 50 pint dehumidifier has been amazing. The humidity in the basement is down and the basement smells like laundry detergent instead of damp. I use a drain hose and couldn't be happier with this purchase. July has been an extremely wet month; the ground is saturated; my basement is dry!

This insignia dehumidifier has performed flawless to this point of the season. I use the drain hose in the basement. Replaced a GE dehumidifier which of course stopped working at 13 months one month after warranty purchased the extended warranty for this unit

It’s a great dehumidifier! Definitely feel a difference in the environment. Right now I’m emptying the dehumidifier twice a day! So it’s getting the job done. Definitely considering to hook it up to a nearby drain.

Surprising how much water this thing pulls out of the air in our upstairs. Had it for about a month. So far so good. The float switch was broken when it arrived. I was able to fix it with super glue but I knocked off a star for that.

Bought this unit to dehumidify an unfinished basement. I have a hose hooked to it so that it constantly drains into a sump. Been running for a couple of weeks now with no issues, and it's doing its job well.

Have not had good luck with dehumidifiers in the past so did not want to spend a lot of money. This does a very nice job taking the moisture out of the air in my basement. Bought two of them when they were a Deal of the Day. They appear to be make of cheap plastic and only time will tell how they hold up. Sometimes difficult to put the bucket back in after the water is emptied. Tends to be easier if use two hands.

We have a basement utility space (about 700 square feet) that has dryer duct work and plumbing that tends to sweat in the summer. We purchased this unit to maintain a certain dryness in the air. It runs as needed and drains directly into the floor drain. Very happy with the unit so far, however it has only been a few months.

Have had this for one week. Replaced an old same size dehumidifier in our basement. This one blows the old one away. Brought the humidity in the basement down to a comfortable level in about 2 hours and has kept it there since. I do need to empty the bucket twice a day. Our basement is extremely humid. This unit brought it from 70% humid down to 50% in under 2 hours. Bought it on sale as a deal of the day.

This works just as good as any other humidifier out there that is over priced. It has nice wheels and plenty of capacity. The cord for power is plenty long. It does everything I need it to. Even has an auto mode.

No issues. Works very well in a large basement. Quiet and effective. I've become a big fan of Insignia. Some high priced company is making this for BB, essentially putting a private label on something similar that they sell at a higher price. So far I've not been disappointed.

Seems to work on mid sized rooms

Seems to work decent on a basement room that is about 15 feet by 15 feet. If I put it in the middle of my basement, which is considerably bigger, it runs almost constantly when set at 55 percent humidity. This is with all windows closed. The humidity fluctuates so much while it is on that I can't help but wonder if the sensor works accurately.
