Seems to work decent on a basement room that is about 15 feet by 15 feet. If I put it in the middle of my basement, which is considerably bigger, it runs almost constantly when set at 55 percent humidity. This is with all windows closed. The humidity fluctuates so much while it is on that I can't help but wonder if the sensor works accurately.

Good unit and works well to keep desired humidity. I did notice the same problem as a few other reviewers. The unit bucket arrived already dirty… as if I had received a pre-owned product. Not a great first impression, but it works well.

Great value for the money. Dehumidifier works quickly and it's quieter than expected. Bonus is it was easily unpackaged and required no assembly - just plug in and press the start button. There's no fumbling to empty the water container, too.

It works very well but is very loud. Easy to move on hard surfaces with wheels but must be carried on carpet. Easy to empty.

the insignia dehumidifier is strong and efficient for removing all the moisture in our basement which is fairly large. theres a lot of customization for the running performance and time which is great to have. the unit itself isn't too heave as I've used other dehumidifiers that are very cumbersome. the collection drawer isn't the largest so if may need to be drained somewhat frequently.

This unit pull humidity as well as the expensive units I have bought. The ONLY negative at all is that the water compartment can sometimes be a little tricky to put back in place. VERY minor in the grand scheme of dehumidification.

I bought this to get rid of a musty smell in one of the bedrooms we rarely use. We live in an older house and with a crawl space and have been unsuccessful in airing it out until getting this dehumidifier. It made a huge difference in the air quality within only about 5 hours. easy to empty and set up! so far working great!

This dehumidifier was a warranty replacement for the one I bought last year and failed in less than a year. Hopefully this one is a redesign and so far has worked well during Spring, Summer and Fall.

The Insignia dehumidifier is doing an outstanding job in our basement; had a leak, and this unit has removed the excess moisture and the basement has no smell!
