It really made a difference in the whole house operating in my basement. (hardware stores sell “hose extensions” for ~15$, which are usually perfect length.)

Far more effectve at dehumidifying basement and much quieter. Controls are more sophisticated and instructions a bit confusing, but I got what I wanted.

It's a little bigger than expected but does a great job. Easy to use and empty when full. It's also on wheels which helps.

One thing I do not like is that if the bucket is full, it does not allow you to turn off the unit.
