I use it to keep my basement from becoming too humid during the spring thaw months. This one does the job and is a little quieter than the old one. However, after a little over a year, it is blowing hot air out of the side. I have tried cleaning everything I can get to, but it is making my basement very hot.

However, the reason I had purchased it was to assist our AC in this SE Texas Summer. What I found was that it blew out a large volume of hot air while doing a great job at what is was designed to do. Had to return it because of that. Looks like a whole home dehumidifier with the two new AC’s when the time comes. Don’t buy if you plan on trying to help your AC.

I use it for my basement and it holds a ton of water and really takes out the humidity. I’m in NY and during the summer months it’s very humid. This machine is a must.
