Have had this running in my basement for several days now, and it's run constantly and collected very little water. From past experience it should be collecting more this time of year. I have it set to 50 percent and it is showing basement humidity of 50-55 percent. It never seems to reach the preset level and turn off. I can usually tell just by the "feel" of the basement whether it's getting damp, and it seems like it is. Going to buy a cheap hygrometer today and see what that says. Bought the 4-year Geek Squad warranty, so I'll get this sorted.

Hookup was straightforward as this unit replaced a previous different branded one. Touchpad controls are intuitive and responsive. This unit has a hose attached for draining the condensate bypassing the collection bucket for maintenance free use.

Overall its good. The button configuration is confusing for when you just want it set at a certain humidity % and Auto to come on when it gets over that % of humidity.

This unit has tons of great features and works well.

Our basement is getting re-done because of mold issues. A dehumidifier was recommended until then. This was on sale at the time and we bought it. The musty odor is now gone. I've had to remove the water everyday 3 days(2 on hotter days). This is doing the job so we're happy with it.

The first season of use was great. Humidity in the basement was kept the proper level. After a winter of proper storage, and after the warranty period expired, the second season of use was a bust. The unit turned on but the compressor never did. Only one season of use is pretty expensive.

Allergies are gone and the air seems eassiwe to breathe in.

Got this one as a Best Buy deal of the day. I had a Frigidaire dehumidifier that lasted just under a year. I needed to replace it, so when this was came up on sale, I jumped on it. Works great for pulling the moisture out of the air.

Can't say much about this unit. It is winter in Minnesota, so next summer will be when it comes out of the box. I will say it was shipped quickly, and the container was in good condition when it was delivered.

I purchased this dehumidifier one month ago and, so far, it’s doing its job well! It helps to remove the humidity in my basement and I’ve already noticed a significant improvement in the air quality. This dehumidifier is also quiet and I recommend it without any hesitation, especially at the low price!

It does what its supposed to but it feels like its cheaply made and there are some design issues. Removing the tank is difficult because it sticks and needs to be forced out. Once removed it doesnt stand up strait and will spill if not held. Putting the tank back in is also an issue and it has to be forced as well. That being said, it does do what it is supposed to do. So if you're looking for a cheaper option, this is for you

Great dehumidifier! At first, I was skeptical about it working, but after running it for just an hour, there was water in the bin. I was a bit surprised at how much water it pulls out. I don't run it too much, but enough daily to see plenty of water sucked out.

This was said to be a Best Buy (house) brand and on sale. As a replacement to a Hisense model of the same capacity, it is physically larger and seemed to have a higher 'noise' level. It is working fine.

I really like this product b it doesn’t come with a drain hose. It’s pretty annoying to manually drain the full tub every day. I’m trying to find an alternative to replace it but the specs are really confusing so i don’t know exactly what to get.

Love it! only thing I hate is how short the power cord is, I had to use an extension cord to reach an outlet. Also it’s noisy, But it does its job.

Very nice product. Predictable, solid and reliable controls. Easy to empty water tank. Insignia makes yet another winner of a product.
