This unit is remarkably quiet and efficient. Easily wheels to sink or drain for emptying and does an excellent job removing water/humidity from basement. Outstanding price of $149 on daily deal... Thank you Best Buy!

    Gets the job done

This dehumidifier gets the job done - and quickly! I like the turbo option and how user friendly it is. However, it is quite loud and overall large. Also, the threads on the back for the hose to connect to are VERY cheaply made. The threads are plastic and one line of threads stripped out the first time i tried to screw a hose on it. It also doesn't make sense that the drain sticks straight out and isn't angled down. This kept causing my hose to kink. Overall, it gets the job done well.

I got this dehumidifier to reduce humidity in my house in Florida without having to use air conditioning to do so. This unit works very well for a room, but not an entire house, which is fine. It rolls easily on wheels. I have kept it on the constant setting as opposed to on and off based on a humidity level. It is not too loud at night-it’s kind of white noise. The water container fills up about every 12 hours and is easily emptied; I use it to water plants or just dump in tub. Note: the water is cold so if you need a cold soak it would work. I wouldn’t drink it, though. Most importantly, I wanted to make sure it did not increase my power bill, and it does not appear that it has. I have had it for a month and I do not see an increase. It makes the ambient temperature in the room feel lower, to the point I sometimes check my a/c thermostat. I bought this on sale and if it goes on sale again, I will get another one.

    20% Noticeable Difference

It's astonishing to see how much moisture this unit pulls from the air. The filling of the tank really puts in perspective how humid the air can get. Our humidity readers show a 20% decrease in humidity, which when it gets to 60% is dangerous for our equipment. The tank is great too, so we don't have to punch holes in our walls for drainage.

Great dehumidifier for the price. Works well a little noisy. I also have the small unit at home and use this one for the cabin. Set it and forget it!

Really enjoy having this now in my basement. After a few hours, I started feeling a difference in the air. I empty it 3 times a day. It does have a drain hose connection but I have nowhere to have it drain into other than using the bucket. It doesn’t really take up much room in the corner and isn’t an eyesore. I like that it is on wheels if I need to move it around. I keep mine set to “Comfort” mode and it keeps my basement feeling much drier and more comfortable to be in, even on humid days.

This dehumidifier is surprisingly powerful. It pulls its full tank-worth of water out of the air in our house in about 18 hours. Since we bought it, the humidity in our house has gone from about 65% to about 48%, and it took about a week to consistently get to that level. It's handling 1050 square feet with relative ease, even with the occasional long hot shower in the room next to where we have it set up.

Bought this unit on sale after my expensive Frigidaire model quit after just over a year. I replaced it with a Midea model that only worked for two days. After I returned it I stumbled upon the Insignia model on a daily deal. It had all positive reviews and so far a month in it has worked flawlessly in the MN summer. Easy to use, clear display and really pulls water from the air. Time will tell after 1 year how it hold up but due to the sale price, I purchased the additional 2 year Geek Squad protection for real cheap. Can’t go wrong!

I bought this to replace a very old, very noisy but still functioning Maytag dehumidifier and to take advantage of an EnergyStar rebate and Massachusetts tax-free weekend. So far, it works great -- it pulls humidity out of the air like nobody's business (I have a duplex, bedrooms upstairs, 1280 sf total) -- and it's extremely quiet. It's easy to empty the bucket - and to put the bucket back again. I'm happy.

    Quiet, High Capacity Dehumidifier

My old dehumidifer finally gave out and I wanted to get something with a higher capacity. This unit is about double the size of what I had before but I appreciate having the larger water tray and it is designed in a way that helps it blend in when put in a corner. I am using it it in a finished basement and it is working well. It brought the humidity down quickly and I was impressed with how quiet it is. The filter is in the rear of the unit and is very easy to remove so it can be cleaned. This is a great unit and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quite, large dehumidifier that you don't need to empty as often.

This is a good dehumidifier. I have had several over the years and this is by far the quietest one I have had. It is easy to set up and controls are easy to set up and control. The only reason I give it 4 stars is 2 fold. 1.the bucket is somewhat difficult to take out to empty and put back and requires to empty more often as doesn't seem to hold as much water as the other humidifiers I have had. So far I feel it's a good replacement. By the way I got it on sale and the price and fast delivery was fantastic.

Seems to work pretty nicely. However, I bought it to reduce the oppressive heat in the garage, but it's hard to know how much it helped. It ran continuous and reduced the humidity, but outputs pretty warm air. I had read that that is expected/how it works, but thought I'd give it a go. I shut it off because I felt I was paying to run an AC unit, but felt like I'll still need to buy / should have just bought an AC unit. I got it just before the seasonal change so I'm not sure yet. It is reasonably quiet and did seem to work well.
