This is a very powerful dehumidifier, it pulled out a bucket of water everyday when I was trying to dry my house after a leak!!

Works very well. Much quieter than replacement product.

Very High Quality Dehumidifier! This unit is very well built and runs very smoothly. Quickly reduces room humidity and offers great features like auto coil defrosting. Very happy that we selected this particular dehumidifier.

Instead of moving our existing dehumidifier to the new house (it's more than ten years old, but still running strong), I figured I'd take a shot at a new Energy Star rated one to see if there's any real improvement - and there's no comparison. The Insignia fills crazy fast compared to our existing dehumidifier - who knows how much electricity I've been wasting limping that old one along over the years. The drain hose is a standard garden hose attachment, which works brilliantly to keep from ever having to empty it. I'm not sure who actually manufactures them, but I've been having great luck with Insignia appliances so far.

This dehumidifier has done a great job pulling moisture out of the air and making the room feel much more comfortable. It was easy to set up and the controls are straightforward. I also like that it runs quietly enough that it is not disruptive. The water tank is easy to empty, and overall it feels like a solid product. I am happy with how well it performs.

Purchased this unit to keep my basement dryer so that I could lay hardwood flooring down throughout the first floor above it. When i first plugged it in, it was reading at a heavy 80% humidity. I used the hose option into a floor drain to prevent from emptying the internal bucket 1-2 times daily. This unit has worked great since my purchase. It is keeping my 1000+ square foot basement at a comfortable 45-50% humidity, in eco mode. It isnt too loud for basement use, but may be a little so in a living area.

Very easy to setup. Gets rid of excess humidity in our bathroom effectively. Also removes the musty odor of the house from too much humidity. But be careful not to remove too much humidity from your house because the air gets too dry leaving you with dry skin and dry throat, and it becomes harder to breathe too with very dry air in the house. A little on the loud side and may wake you up everytime it turns on (when it is set on the auto mode). Easy to empty water reservoir. High quality build.

Purchased this dehumidifier for our basement and have set it to 50% humidity and you can really feel the difference. You can set it to your desired humidity percentage and it'll take care of the rest. The water bin does fill up quickly and I will be looking into using a drain hose and pump so I do not have to empty it every time it fills up. Dehumidifiers do give off a decent amount of heat and are not super quiet.

Very easy to set up and use. It does make some noise - not as loud as a window air conditioner, but a similar sound. I leave it on the Comfort setting using the lower fan speed and it keeps a 1700 square-foot house comfortable. The water tank could be designed better. The tank is easy to empty and rinse out, but impossible to dry since there are many small corners, and access to part of the bottom of the tank is blocked. The air filter is easy to clean and dry. The unit looks very nice.

Purchased this through a deal of the day. Excellent dehumidifier! We also have a GE 50 pint (purchased through Best Buy also) and I was expecting this one to be not as good however this I feel is better. Does the job and definitely quieter then the GE. We have a large finished basement and we purchased the GE for the one side and this one for the other side. So far works really well. Very impressed and wish I had purchased two of these instead of the GE!

It works quite well and is most effective at reducing the humidity level in the room and it's rather difficult to empty because it's gathered such a heavy amount of water but it does the job!

We love this dehumidifier. We live in a poorly insulated mobile home in a wet climate. We were dealing with mold constantly. We bought one for our main living space and it works great. No more mold problems. We empty it every day. We loved our first one so much we purchased another one for our master bedroom at the far end of the home because the the dehumidifier did not quite reach to the far end of the trailer. It has worked very well at pulling the moisture from that room and no more mold problems. We have loved this dehumidifier so much we just purchased one for our friends.

This dehumidifier was just what I was looking for. I have been using this for a few weeks now and I am extremely happy with my purchase. It meets all my requirements and has a sleek design. The unit is compact enough that it is easy to maneuver, and the bucket is small enough that it is not too heavy to lift to dump the water. It is also a lot quitter than other dehumidifiers. Overall, this dehumidifier is working effectively! I absolutely recommend to buy this!

We were having trouble with humidity control in a new building so I purchased two of these Insignia 50-Pint Dehumidifiers to help us through the process. We ended up using them the whole summer and they worked very, very well! I was surprised by how much moisture each one pulled out of the air in a 24-hour period. If you have never had a standalone dehumidifier before, it is good to be aware that ALL of them are noticeable when running... but this model seems quieter to me than others I've used. Easy tank to empty. I would choose this one again!

I bought this dehumidifier to replace a 20 year old product. It has a higher efficiency and is not nearly as noisy as my old one. The hookup of a hose for continuous operation is straight forward, and so far it runs flawlessly. It kicks on when the humidity becomes 5 percent higher than the set value of the humidity.

Always heard they where great for the house but after buying helped so much in the summer especially during those rainy days. Also helped elimintate the gnats.

Easy to set up, quiet, efficient. Recommend this product. It keeps the basement dry and not musty.

We needed a dehumidifier to control the humidity in our living room and kitchen. Both were sitting at 70-80% with outside being 90% and raining. Using a smaller unit from other retailers, they helped with smaller rooms but did nothing for the larger rooms. The biggest issue we had was the humidity causing mildew buildup on the walls and condensation on the windows. Using this unit, it managed to get out house, the entire 1300sq ft, down to 55%, at which point it beging to struggle a bit. No more window condensation unless we're cooking and no more fresh mildew. I gave this about a month before reviewing just to see of we would have any issues snd so far we've had none. The first few days we had to empty the container 2 or 3 times. Now we're down to once every 2 days and loving thst we don't need to wipe down the walls and windows every 2 days. Absolutely a great value for the money.
