    Stopped working after less then a year!

    Worst dehumidifier. Stopped working only after 1 year, Best buy did nothing when we took it into the store last year when it was under warranty, The electronics are not working properly because it won't shut off, it bounces back between 65-67 constantly even though u have it set at 50 for humidity level. It takes very little water out even though it is damp where we have it. Don't waste your money on this one! Go to a different brand. bucket is also hard to put back in when taken out, this seems to be a common problem as i have seen on some reviews.

    I like the features of this product and I’m hopeful that it will last for a while. The last one that I purchased lasted just a couple of months beyond the warranty.

    Product is ok. Does it's job. More than what I could say for best buy! Ordered other items which they tried to deliver damaged! Thank God for the professional delivery driver! I'll never buy another larger items from best buy!

    Broke After 14 Months

    The unit stopped working after 14 months. Since the warranty was for 12 months, Insignia refused to do anything about it. I understand not replacing it for free, but several other companies have given me discounts on purchasing a replacement product when the original broke shortly after the warranty expired. Insignia did not. I will not be purchasing another Insignia product again.

    Loud, bulky but does the job

    Very loud, gets hot, but does it’s job in removing water. You have to empty pretty often. I guess it’s good value for the price.

    Junk - Very short lifespan

    Used for 1.5 summer seasons and now no longer works. Went to start using it for the season and it runs but does not work as it does not reduce the humidity. It ran constantly for 2 days with no water either by using the tank or the hose and humidity level did not decrease at all. Tried it several other times and same results. Spoke with Insignia customer service and nothing. Thought maybe they could provide suggestions or at least make it right, but didn’t get either. Will need to buy another other one and it won’t be an Insignia. First and last.

    Died exactly 2 years later. Everything by was fine until the 2 years mark. The p2 error code despite tank being empty and fit properly.

    DO NOT BOTHER! Waste of time and money! I ordered the dehumidifier online for delivery to my house. I took it out of the box and it never functioned! I plugged it in, the panel would run through its start up stuff and then the ‘bucket full’ light would come on! The device never even had time to remove water from the air— how could bucket be full?!? I tried multiple times to get it to work- unplug from wall, and retry, or remove bucket and replace(the only way possible) and still the light read ‘bucket full’. I called customer service and they did the best they could but I was advised to return it to the store(pita). I have purchased Insignia brand items prior to this and had no problems. Extremely disappointed. Obviously I did not want a replacement with another dehumidifier of the same brand.

    Lasted about 10 months of opwrating, then would constantly freeze and stopped working. We were always diligent with cleaning and drying the filter after reading the reviews here, I think its just poorly made or is wrong about 41 degrees. I would say below 65 degrees this will freeze over. I would not recomend this brand as an appliance brand to anyone.

    Purchased item on website it did not indicate refurbish or used sold as brand new box was partial open covered in black dust like substance and also missing parts that should have been included and per the manual. I have know idea what Best Buy is doing but this is not good at all

    Charged me for new but shipped a returned unit

    When the unit arrived it was clear this was not a new dehumidifier. The bottom of the box had been cut off and replaced with a different bottom that had been taped on. The cord rack was not in the box. It was obvious this was a unit someone else had returned. The website does not give any obvious way to contact customer service other than to return the unit. Despite the fact that the unit is in a smaller space than the specs show, the unit has not shut off after several days of operation. The 70 pint Frigidaire this replaced did a much better job.

    6 months in and the compressor has stopped working. Hoping the extended service plan will help in replacing.

    Bought this with a 4 year Geek Squad Protection plan. First one died within a year, as did the second one. Don't be fooled by the 4 year protection plan. If you follow all the links to the final PDF file, it states in section 12c that once they replace your item only once, they have no more obligation to you. Insignia is pure JUNK!

    Doesn't really work as expected. We have a smaller unit (different brand) in the basement that we used to have upstairs and it is much more efficient and actually fills up the tank. The insignia runs constantly and is never full.
