    Buyer beware! This worked well for one summer. We just tried to use it for the first time and it doesn’t work. The fan runs, but it won’t collect water. Since we purchased it last spring, it’s not covered under warranty. Terrible customer service as well.

    Worked for a few years

    The unit was good while it last but with minimal use it died after less then 4 years. That is while using it only in summer months, cleaning it regularly. I would have thought it would last longer but maybe 4 years is a good age

    I also got a bad unit

    Bought it last summer and it worked well enough. Plugged it back in this summer and while the fan runs the compression does not so no water is collected. Must have been a bad batch built in China last spring.

    Lasted 14 months and then started to throw E-3 codes and does not work. Waste of money. I bought a unit from Home Depot put it side by side and it works fine- so not the temperature as the E-3 code says. Total waste of my money.

    Stay Away - Unit Stopped Working after 14 Months

    Worked great for 14 months, then started making grinding noises and stopped functioning properly, and dehumidifier function no longer worked. Of course, the warranty is only for 12 months! Unit would not shut off when hitting the "off" button...had to unplug it. Called Insignia and tried troubleshooting with them to no avail. Final verdict...unit is now outside the warranty by 2 months, so we can't help you. Very disappointed when you pay $172 for a dehumidifier that only lasts 14 months!!!

    This thing stopped pulling moisture from the air a year after purchasing. Likely a compressor leak so nothing i can do but replace it. Do not recommend this brand at all.

    Will only last until warranty expires.

    Purchased this unit in October of 2022, unit is now going full ice up and not removing moisture, Contacted support, they requested the requested our receipt just to confirm it's 2 months past the 1 year warranty. As stated nothing else they can because it's out of warranty. Guess no more insignia products in my house, only function until warranty expires.

    BEST BUY IS HORRIBLE

    I haven't even used it but am giving BEST BUY 1 star. Wish I could give you negative stars. Return and exchange policy is only 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS! I bought a mini fridge on the same day and had issues from the day. I called at 2 weeks and 1 day. NO RETURN OR EXCHANGE ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS- RUN

    I had to give it one star to write a review. My opinion is zero stars. The unit lasted 2 months at most and the compressor died. My loss, I will never buy an Insignia brand again. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning this item. Probably will not shop at Best Buy again. There are many other places to buy electronics.
