    Best 4K entry TV.....

So I have been waiting to write this review. I searched a long time, read many online reviews from different sites, and bought this TV about 2 weeks ago. Simply put, you're not going to find a better sub $500 TV. Maybe I will feel differently a year from now but right now I am very happy with my purchase. You get a lot of options and a crisp clear picture right out of the box. The ONLY thing that bothers me a tad (which I have rectified some by playing with the controls) is that there is a tad of a blackness/contrast issue but it's not terrible enough to warrant not buying this TV. You will also need to buy a sound bar FYI as all flat screen speakers are not very good.

I needed a new tv for my Mother. She loves to watch Netflix, Baseball, and Hockey, so I set her up with this tv. The built-in Roku is easier to use then to switch HDMI ports, so less confusion the better! The size, picture, and sound are really good. The home screen makes it easy to go from app to app or to cable or DVD player, once set up it's easy to just scroll over and select what you want! Have an older parent that wants to be part of today's tech...this tv will make it easy!

I exchange my Hisense that I had purchase to this TV so far I am amaze with how they simplify the application on this TV. I have all my application in one place to stream, very easy to use, sound is great and pictures are crystal clear. You won't regret this tv if you looking for all in one media and you won't get bored like I did with the Hisense 4k tv H8 series.

Very pleased with purchase! Menu interface is very user friendly. Excellent picture. Plenty of hdmi ports and one usb port for multiple devices. Vividly clear sound quality. Great mix of Roku, 4K and screen size at a good price. Product packing was alot, but fairly easy to remove. It just ensures you getting great quality product. Very lightweight and easy to mount on stand or wall. Two thumbs up!!

I bought this tv for our bedroom where my wife mainly watches TV. I did not need a "top of the line" TV since my wife does not really care too much for great picture detail or crazy features. But I did want to get an easy to use TV where she could use some streaming services like Netflix and Amazon. WOW what a great choice. Not only is the roku system super easy to use, the TV picture quality is way beyond what I expected for this low price. I'm usually very picky about adjusting picture settings to get things just right, but the pre-programmed settings have been fantastic. I like enhanced mode and low power mode. Also the volume is surprisingly good on this set. Much better than my 2 year old Vizio in family room. The other cool option this tv has is the integration it has with the roku phone app. It lets you open the app and immediately show pictures and videos from your phone right onto the tv. No switching inputs or a need to use remotes to change settings. Just instantly appears . While we may not need this feature upstairs in our bedroom, I point it out since this would be awesome feature for family room tv for when family and friends come over. Very easy way to share pics without fussing with third party streaming devices, etc. I highly recommend this television and will be buying another for our family room when our current set dies.

It's only been two weeks but so far our new Insignia 55" 4K TV has been awesome! For the money it's a smart entry level unit and the Roku capability just adds to the TV's usefulness. The picture is really good and better than expected. The pixel definition, colors, and contrast appear to rival brands costing much more. While the built in speakers are acceptable for our use we also hooked up an inexpensive Maxell sound bar which just adds to the audio quality. We've owned Insignia branded Best Buy products before and continue to be pleased.

The Roku interface is the best TV interface I've used and reduced the number of remotes needed. Picture quality is good but great for this price and no issues with fast action. I think this set is a great value.

Purchased in Nov. 2016. Great picture, easy to operate. Love the ROKU engine. My favorite feature is that I can now pause live TV for up to 90 minutes---all I needed was a $9 USB flash drive. No regrets..

An unbelievable picture and feature value

Let's start by saying this is not for videophiles. Stacked up to high-end 4K sets this would not be a 5-star product; BUT, for $600 you get a bright, high resolution, attractive 55" set with good connectivity and Roku built right in. This is actually my second Insignia Roku set (also have the 32" 1080p model), and we've also had a Roku 3 for over a year. THE GOOD: big, bright, high resolution, thin and attractive bezel, and very simple to operate. One great thing about Insignia Roku sets is that sources (i.e. TV inputs) are treated just like other Roku channels, and can be named for what's attached, or disabled if not in use. This means even those less tech savvy members of the household can easily operate. The remote is super simple and everything is driven by on screen menus. THE BAD: this is designed more for cable cutters, not channel flippers, so the lack of number pad on the remote makes sorting through a lot of channels tedious (you could use a free Roku app on your smart phone for number pad and keyboard - a big help with You Tube and other searches). Also, and this is a Roku thing, the dedicated remote buttons for Netflix, HBO Now and two other channels cannot be reprogrammed for other channels you prefer. This is annoying for us since we have HBO Go, not Now. I'd love it if the remote had the headphone jack like on the Roku 3. Also, there are scant picture and audio tuning options. If you expect to tweak contrast, saturation and other display qualities, look elsewhere. All you can is adjust brightness. Lastly, I find the volume adjustment to be a little difficult to get the right balance between being able to clearly understand dialogue, and not being too loud, although I am hoping this will become a non issue once I connect to my home theater receiver. I'd guess a sound bar would also fix this. BOTTOM LINE: a fabulous value for Roku users, and everyone else who should be!

Work ok for about 2 years, enough to get through the warranty period. Started having some intermittent problems. I felt comfortable because I did buy a Square Trade warranty for it. I called square trade several times for tech support. They refused to anything with until one morning I turned it on and screen was black. That was part the problem with it when I called Sq tr. tech. half of the screen was black but it would clear up. They refuse to repair or replace. So my review of the Tv is poor and not thrilled with Sq. Trade. They ship me a replacement TV with the same features but worth half of what I paid for the TV.

and I'm glad I did! I know it's an 'off brand' per se, but this TV is really nice for the $$$. Easily the least expensive of the 4K TVs when I got it and it's PERFECT for wall mounting in our bedroom. Pretty thin, so it'll sit pretty flush to the wall. Picture quality is fantastic. Sound is very loud and crisp with nice lows. The built-in ROKU interface is second to none - easily the best smart TV interface and can be controlled from your smartphone. Glad I got this!

I purchased this tv mainly because I needed a new one after my 7 year old sony bit the dust, the price and the fact of it being 4k mainly attracted me to it, after about a month of use I must say I do not regret this purchase at all, everything I have thrown at it, it has processed it perfectly from PC gaming, to college football Saturday.

Pretty good bang for your buck. This is my first experience with a 4K TV and I'm pretty pleased with the picture quality, though the speakers leave a bit to be desired. As far as the Roku goes, I spend a lot of time streaming shows and movies and it's nice not having to fire up my PlayStation to use my favorite services. I haven't had any issues with wifi connection or buffering either, which tends to happen with my PlayStation.

I walked into BB with no intentions of buying a 4k TV until I saw the picture and price tag of this one. UHD is awesome, though there are currently limited 4k sources. The biggest drawback is sound - or lack of it. Be prepared to buy an audio system if you want the sound to match the picture.

I bought this a few days ago and couldn't be happier. The picture quality is great. It has 4 HDMI and one AV IN, which I'm ok with. WiFi, and plenty of streaming channels to choose from (some free).

This TV works good, the quality of the image is good, I have a Samsung 4K/60" and there is not really a big difference. This TV work under Roku environment which makes it really fast when you wan to to watch Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc. We use it mostly for casual TV watching and gaming (XBOX One and PS4) and work perfect.
