Love this TV! The immediate access to Netflix via the remote is awesome, and makes it easy for my kids to navigate to their favorite shows. Easy to operate and set up. And you can't beat the price.

Picture looked great. RCA output did not work out of the box. Took TV back to store for exchange. Best Buy team was helpful and fast with service. Ended up upgrading to a 60 inch TV. Great deal for price.

Good for Roku, not Dish Network

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This television looks great for Roku streaming, but when it comes to Dish Network, I've had nothing but problems and it's due to HDMI. It keeps telling me that it has a problem with HDCP and it won't let me view HD stations unless I unplug and plug back in the HDMI cable. Can anyone else comment if they've been having these troubles? I contacted Dish, but they swear up and down it's not on their end. Just waiting to hear back from Insignia.

Great TV for for those who don't need 120Hz or 4K

This is a great smart (Roku) TV without a lot of bells and whistles. The picture is great, and my only gripe is that the screen is very reflective, so don't put a mirror on the wall behind your couch, for example. No idea about the sound quality. With any TV you should be using a sound system if sound quality is important to you.

    bad

This TV worked fine for the first month. The worst part was that you HAVE to use the remote that comes with it to select which watching option you want from the menu. After I had it for a month, it started suddenly having all kinds of problems. It shuts itself off every 30 seconds. When it takes a break from that, it will alternate between not having any sound or picture from HDMI connections. When the TV is turned off, it occasionally will start blasting the elevator music from the TV menu. While off. How does that even happen? Overall, very unhappy with this incredibly useless TV.

I absolutely love this tv. I've never had a smart tv before, but I can say that I am not disappointed with my first one. Only downside is if you can't find the actual tv remote, you won't be able to access anything until you can find it. But, other than that, I am very satisfied.

The picture and sound is ok, but the wifi wont stay connected. I bought an extender and put it right next to it but it wont stay connected. Took my actual modem and put it right next to it and was doing the same thing. So i have to keep restoring it to factory setting everytime it wont connect....

If you have not already, instead of restoring factory settings, try going into the settings and deleting the current network profile. Then set it back up from scratch. If that does not correct the issue, contact us via www.InsigniaProducts.com/support/contact.html for additional troubleshooting support. – Jon, Insignia Support BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

Lack of ethernet port is the downfall.

I already have a roku 3 and have gone streaming-only, no cable, so the streaming quality is critical. I went through the simple setup, and began watching a football game through the roku function in the tv through my Sling TV app. The info scroll on the bottom of ESPN looked jerky and the game itself looked a little pixelated. As a comparison, I replugged in my roku box which has an ethernet port, so I am direct connected, no wireless. It made a world of difference. Bottom scroll was perfectly smooth and picture noticeably better. I think the tv itself is fine, but the wireless connection is limiting. My wireless router is less than one foot from the back of the tv, so depending on where the wireless antenna on the tv is, my wireless is at most 4 feet away and direct line of sight, no obstructions. If only this tv had an ethernet port, on a tv built for streaming no less, it would be a five star, especially for the price. It doesn't, so its going back to the store. I am likely to just purchase the same tv, but without the roku function. I'll use my existing roku box and go wired for streaming.

I bought this TV as a deal of the day after reading all of the reviews. I brought the TV home and spent 5 hours trying to set it up. It worked fine if you like a TV that is off-color and pixilates all of the time. I tried, in vein, to adjust the color, but no matter what I did, it was always dull. Several channels were pixilating. 60Hz is not enough for a TV and is certainly not enough for gaming.

HD picture quality is poor. Football games are not sharp. Motion is blurry in sports and movies. I read all the positive reviews, but regret this purchase. It really isn't worth the money when a little more money will buy an acceptable picture. Buy a vizio instead.
