    Great tv but after 3 years it went to a black screen with only volume. I’ve done a reset, factory reset and all. Other than having to buy a new one it was a great room tv

    Great tv unfortunately at the 4 year mark the tv is not showing a picture. Works great with sound but no picture. Pretty bummed. But the tv was pretty amazing hoping to get it fixed or replace it!

    Insignia please make replacement remotes!!!

    The TV itself is just fine, however my remote broke. I’ve now tried 3 replacement remotes. The Amazon fire one would not pair and the two universal ones will not pair 100% So now I have a smart TV that isn’t smart. And I can not control to turn on or off the closed captioning etc. Best Buy was unable to help us because apparently the company doesn’t make replacement remotes. So now, after less than a year we will have to replace the TV.

    If you don't care about the USB port or a soundbar (or about power consumption) this device isn't bad. I had an ambient LED strip plugged into the USB port and a soundbar connected. Every hour or so, the TV would power up both the USB port and turn on the soundbar; they'd stay on for 10-45 minutes and power down again. The screen never came on, just the peripherals. I worked with support for months but eventually returned it because they couldn't figure it out. They claimed it wasn't supposed to do that, but after replacing various parts nothing changed so I suspect this wasn't my particular device but just the way they work. One guy told me they don't recommend plugging LEDs into the USB port, yet I've done this on at least 3 other TVs without issue. I pointed out Best Buy literally sells an Insignia+USB-LED combo on their website so his recommendation didn't match with what they were selling, which he found surprising. Everyone with Geek Squad was super nice and great to work with -- Best Buy corporate not so much. Even though they admitted I had a "lemon" they refused to refund my money. I was forced to get a different TV (never again a Best Buy brand like Insignia) from them or just lose my money altogether. So while the people were all great, I'll tell anyone and everyone never to visit Best Buy again. TV three stars, Best Buy one.

    Subpar picture/sound

    If you’ve never owned a LED Tv, this will at first look decent. Compared to other models, it’s really subpar. I own a TCL R617 55” as my primary tv and the difference is stunning. I spend one or two wknds a month at relatives and bought this for there. Especially in picture. Some programs look barely decent, but most lack clarity, are over saturated, fuzzy, etc. I don’t watch any action/sci-fi//special effects on the insignia, only watch docus/comedies/news here. Sound, even for the very low bar of smart TVs, is also horrendous. Tinny, sibilant, etc. Plus, it’s so loud that you rarely go over 20-2. Plus, annoyingly, if you wanna mute it flashes “MUTE” and you can’t turn it off. Only positive is amazon fire, but that’s no better than Roku. And that’s negated by bestbuy’s short 15 day return policy; plus, when returning, you’ll probably have to deal with attitude and shaming by the reps there. O Ot a year after purchasing am strongly considering buying an upgrade, even for 1-2 wknds a month. Pay the extra money for a better TV if you can.

    In lieu of all the great reviews I had a horrible experience with this TV, I got it as a gift from a friend last feb/2020, the tv was put in a room unpacked (in the box) for 3 month I finally decided to unpack it and hook it up, well everything was great, nice picture sound etc, just yesterday 3/17/2021 the TV TV failed to turn on, tried to contact Best Buy and not able to, so I contacted Insignia and they wanted a sales receipt...well being that it was a gift and worse of all the giver (purchaser) passed away In Mid March/2020, Tv was in regular almost daily use for less than 190months and it failed, shouldn't a product last longer, anyway, you may consider a different brand if not make sure you purchase the service agreement, Insignia was my first and it'll be a cold day in hell before I buy one.

    I've had great experiences with Insignia TVs in the past, which is the main reason why I went with this TV. I've gotta say, big regret. The OS for this TV is horrendous. It's the slowest smart TV I've ever seen. It has enough space for max 10 apps and it takes forever to do anything on it. Majority of the apps can barely run on it and clip lag the footage half the time. I would not recommend this TV.

    I purchased a 55” insignia tv from Best Buy in December & noticed the picture quality was blotchy right from the start. I tried taking the tv back within a month of purchase & was told return policy was 14 days, however, geek squad could come and try and repair it instead & if they couldn’t repair it it can be claimed unfixable & we could receive in-store credit for a new tv purchase. I’ve had 4 appointments with geek squad, Each appointment I’ve had to take off work with their time span of 12-8pm. Geek squad ncns one appt., cancelled one appt., and shown up for the remaining 2 making minor adjustments to the tv and finally declaring it not fixable. Geek squad tried talking with Best Buy management to get us a new tv because our tv was not fixable & was told no. Our best option was to go In-store and speak to management one-on-one, which we did with no results. Therefore now we are stuck with the blotchy non fixable TV.

    Insignia Fire Tv

    I’ve had this tv since 2021 with a couple small issues like the actual fire tv part not working so I used a roku, the sound going in and out or making funny noises. This morning I woke up with it playing sound but a black screen. I tried alll the things to get it back on, the last thing I tried was a flashlight to the screen to see if there’s a dull picture, sure enough there was. So now I’m out a tv.

    I had the TV for only 18 months and it died. TV would not turn on and had a black screen. Seems it is a common issue with the Insignia Fire TV models from the online research.
