TV great / Bestbuy Honoring Protection Plan BAD
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the a19 2020 MFD version, the TV is good however the Protection Plan bestbuy tried to tire you out so they don't have to honor it. My review isn't about the TV but rather the protection plan I got for the TV. Bestbuy makes impossible to get something replaced. I have a bad remote after 2 years, July 26th I am told "take it to the store they will replace" , Store said nope geek squad will come out , I said for a remote.. they said well hold on here call this number, I call eventually guy says sending you a remote, week later August 1st no remote I call get someone I barely understand say "make a note remote should be there soon", August 12th I call no remote, o we canceled order because no serial number, August 13th I call with picture of SN, 1st person barely understandable says can not find SN in system call another number and ask for Home Theater, I try to call again and again and again getting people with language barrier, I try call 2 stores in my area to get help go straight to call center so I call repeatedly through automation almost 10 times until I get a person I can understand. She was helpful but the first remote they were going to send I ask model number and it was a old school 40+ button remote universal infrared, so I say nope that isn't right, so eventually yeah we find a remote they can send, because the countless in stock in store compatible Amazon Voice fire Remotes can be sent because in store. So the model number checks out , so I await no 3 to 5 days to see if my remote works. I use a roku soundbar to bypass the horrible Amazon Fire TV experience so I can get around that, but if I wanted to get to a input with NON Hdmi / ARC type awareness I have to the Phone App to make tv Switch. I really wonder if the Protection Plan is worth it now.

I definitely should have paid more attention to the reviews on here and on Reddit about how bad the internet stability is on this. This constantly drops connection in the middle of live baseball games or even just streaming music through it. While the picture is great, I would have went with a different TV if I would have known I'd just have to buy another FireStick anyways. There are plenty of other, better options in the same price range and I only bought this one because it was a FireTV. Won't make that mistake again. This will be my last Insignia product.

TV is fine... remote stopped working right away

However, the remote stopped working consistently within a month of setting it up. It works sometimes... and then suddenly it doesn't. We've switched the batteries multiple times. I find that unacceptable for a device that cost hundreds of dollars.
