    An awesome tv, wouldve given it 5 stars, but turns out this model TV has a flismy remote. It disconnects every 10-12 minutes of using, and you have to spam all buttons for about a minute for it to work again.

    You have to pay $13 a month for the UHD or it’s just HD. The picture is not great unless you upgrade. The sound is amazing, way better than I expected.

    Screen brightness uniformity issues.

    At this price point you need to know that you'll have bright spots because its edge lit and not at all uniform. Not even close. Replaced with a 55" sony x80. Spend the extra $.... it's worth it.

    Great dumb TV. Do not connect to internet. Do not factory reset. If you connect to internet, Amazon will push software updates. The updated software turns all media and all HDMI inputs black and white. Only the main menu is in color. If you factory reset, it will ask you your language, then to pair your remote, but even though your remote works, it cannot pair. The TV will never get past the pair remote screen, and is no longer a television.

    I reviewed this TV a year ago saying "great buy, love this TV" and gave it a 5 star. I'm amending that review to a 1 star less than a year later. It's toast. The screen goes totally black. I unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in and within 5 minutes the screen goes black. From the reviews I see that this is a common occurrance. I expect a $400 TV to last longer than 2 years. So I won't be buying an Insignia again.

    Worked great for a couple years then the backlight went out and found out it would cost more than the tv itself to get it repaired through best buy

    KNOWN ISSUES WITH THIS TV ... STAY AWAY!

    Just hung up with customer support. Bought TV last week ... attempted to install today. Tried setting up ... got as far as setting up remote. TV cannot find remote. Insignia support said this is a KNOWN ISSUE and that I should return to store and get a new TV. If they know it ... I am sure BEST BUY knows it. Extremely disappointed ... returning tomorrow. STAY AWAY!

    I love the picture on this TV but I have one problem with it. When ever I change the volume (or put it on mute) in HDIM mode the screen goes blank. This makes me hit the home button to pick my HDIM connection again. When I called the tech center (It's still under warranty) they said they'd send me a label to mail it back to them. I said "How can I mail it back to you if I don't have the original box?" Then I said why can't you just bring me a new TV and take this one away in the same box? BestBuy refuses to deal with me so I will never do business with them ever again!

    If I could give this tv zero stars I would. I just bought this yesterday and immediately out of the box the tv remote does not work. I had to YouTube how to reset the remote which took way too long. Now, on the second day of ownership, the tv speakers will not work! What a joke. I have factory reset the tv and plugged and unplugged the tv and NOTHING. Stay far away from this tv. I will be calling Best Buy in the morning to return this item.

    Its a good tv but not great. I cant connect tv to my stereo.and if i Bluetooth a speaker the tv speaker stops playing so its not good for karaoke like it advertised

    Ours didn't last 2 years and we have 2 more smaller ones. There's tons of reviews with people saying the same thing, some only a year. Gonna see how long those work. Spend the few extra bucks and get the Toshiba version. Just bought their '55.

    TL;DR - These are cheaply made and apparently notorious for internal hardware failure. I bought it in 2019 due to high reviews on Best Buy's site. Mine died 2 years after buying it due to internal hardware failure. Bought one of these in 2019 when our 6-year-old Samsung 55" LED bit the dust due to a pet knocking it over. Loved the Insignia TV, the Amazon functionality, and it worked great in general; until 2 years later when it suddenly started flickering during start-up. Within a day or two, the TV would no longer present images on screen. Audio would still play and you could HEAR it responding to remote control use, but no image at all. After running it through a diagnostic process via online support, the result came back: internal hardware fault. Worst of all, after doing some MORE research, I found out internal hardware issues were actually COMMON for Insignia Smart TV's. One forum full of other victims said I was lucky that it even lasted 2 years, as these are notorious for failing due to being cheaply made. I would avoid these Insignia Smart TV's and just spend a bit more for more reliable brands. Such a shame.

    Bought TV … set it up … could not pair remote with TV. Went online to look at reviews … saw many, many that mentioned the same issue. Shame in me for note reading these reviews … shame on best buy for selling me this TV based on what they knew. Incredible disappointed.

    NS-55F301NA22 shipped to me a total piece of crap

    1) Eventhough this says 2021 model, it booted up with the older version of the Amazon Fire TV OS. Update Download Error. WiFi vs. Ethernet, Reset to Factory Settings, Rebooting Router, etc. etc. etc. all to no avail. Nothing seems to make the Update Download work. 2) Best Buy support says they can't issue Return/Refund or Exchange until 48 hours until their internal systems considers it delivered (eventhough it was delivered earlier today hours and hours ago). They told me I have to call back 48 hours later. Is this a paper system or computer system where they log transactions that it takes this long ?! And I have to call back and try again ?! 3) Insignia support useless as computer voice / phone system says due to increased Best Buy sales they are too busy and can't take phone calls. 4) My first TV purchase with Best Buy is my last !!!

    Great picture. Okay sound. Backlight quit working after 2 years 10 months. Bought a Phillips in 2010 that is still going strong. Also paid an extra $100 for a 5 year warranty, so they are replacing it but we will just be out when the new one goes out in 3 years while I’m sure the Phillips will still be going strong. Do better Best Buy.
