The picture quality is good The darks could be a little darker but it's a good device for watching TV.

Good for what we wanted.

T.V. quality is great and was able to load up the program we use to watch live T.V. just like you would a firestick. We wanted we could have in our room and be able to move out to our patio when needed. Eventually we'll mount it up outside but for now it can be moved in and out no problem.

Go for 65’’ with Apple tv

We saw the 65’’ one in the display and thought that the 55’’ one will be as good and we were disappointed. The 55’’ one does not come close. The setup is as good and easy as any fire tv. But fire tv is clumsy and it nowhere close to a good steamer. Having said that I highly recommend not to rely on the native OS and instead get an Apple TV 4K and use the tv for its display only. In short, if you can extend your budget to 65’’ then it will be worth it. I think insignia 65’’ is the only one worth buying.
