Even with an hdmi inputted device there is grain. While it maybe a suitable upgrade for a tv ten years plus older, it’s not the best option for those looking for a dynamite looking picture.

I have one in every room. Easy to use...great!!!! My only concern with this one is the sound. I have to have my volume on 21 or higher. Maybe I did someone wrong in the set up...I'm still playing with it.
