The fire tv works great with a roku device or any other streaming device for that matter. For the money it is tough to find a better value.

I like that it is pre-packaged for Fire TV, and the price/value/screen size is unbeatable. Buyer beware. Please check your TV screen before the return policy expires. The second TV had a badly damaged screen, although the outside packaging was brand new. I had purchased it early for my daughter heading to college, as it was on sale. By the time I opened the package and found that the screen was broken, it was too late to return it to Best Buy. The only way for me to swap it was to purchase the $50 yearly membership from Best Buy, which extends the return date policy. And that idea was suggested to me by a caring Best Buy customer service representative. After talking to my other daughter about my experience, she suspects that a previous customer must have damaged his/her TV screen, ordered a brand new similar TV, replaced the new TV with the damaged TV in the new box, and closed the box before returning it to Best Buy. Apparently, this practice is well-known among computer enthusiasts who purchase monitors. So, Best Buy, please check the screens of TVs being returned. They may be swapped with damaged one.

Also, I miss the free roku tv channels that came with having a roku tv, but thats not the reason i took a star off. I’m only mentioning this in case someone else also had a roku tv before this.

The reason for four stars is that as soon as you turn on the TV commercials begin to play. Since it's a bedroom tv, we're waking each other up. Also, one bad design is that remote control does not have dedicated sleep button, and you have to search for it through settings.

I stallation was very easy.seta up was great. Had to retire previous tv and the customer set with the help of swooping to this device was awesome.

I purchased because my previous set gave out, and this was a great deal. I’m blown away; immersed in the scenes, drooling.. lol .There was definitely no sacrifice on quality for the rock bottom price paid. Stupendous : )
