    Audio problems; bad tech support

    There is a serious problem with the audio settings and the tech support does not care. It should be Earc to go through the sound system when playing from the smart tv. Every single time I turn it on, or if it comes out of power save, I have no sound. I must go into audio settings and change it to Arc then change it back to Earc then it works. EVERY time I turn it on. This is a serious pain in the butt, and again, tech support just blew it off.

    While I can turn the TV on with my Tivo remote, it is then necessary to go back to the Insignia remote to change the HDMI setting, then change it back again before I can continue with my Tivo remote. Totally unsatisfactory. Am looking to return the TV. Also, the picture setting doesn't work at all. I've tried every which way to adjust contrast to no avail.

    I wouldn’t buy this TV again. When streaming from apps on my PS4 the TV shuts down at random. It’s very annoying.

    Bad Color Quality

    As QLED UHD TV. The colors are very bad. The Red color is too bright compare to other colors and cannot be adjusted.

    I purchased the Insignia 50 inch Fire TV in February 2022 and it’s now March 2022 and it’s not working!! The power doesn’t come in with the remote or pushing the power button on the TV. I have been on the phone get different answers. I want a new TV or my money back! So disappointed & frustrated!!!!!

    First one arrived screen cracked, second one arrived and within 3 weeks a total malfunction and had to be replaced. This one is suppose to be a charm, however, it is making a buzzing sound and I am skeptical and think that it is another dude

    I liked almost everything about this TV, and the most important aspects all exceeded my expectations; it is an excellent value for the money. The picture quality is every bit as good as my Samsung 8000 series, with the richness of the colors and deepness of the black being high points. The sound quality is the best from internal speakers of any TV I have ever owned; I will not be purchasing a sound bar for this, which was my original intent. Volume is spacious and never gets distorted. Setup was easy, connected to my wifi and had all of my accounts (Hulu, Disney Plus, Prime Video, Netflix) synced in less than 30 minutes. All stream perfectly with no lag. I even want to bring up the remote which is the best remote I have used, photo attached to the review. As you can see, the 4 quick select buttons for apps happen to be the 4 services I subscribe to. I like the updated Fire OS on the TV and the way the remote works with it, especially the voice control. But now I have to address the reason I took away a star, the base. The legs are held on with 4 very small screws, thin and not very long, and the legs are 43 inches apart which means the TV did not fit on my dresser like I had hoped, although I bought a 48 inch wide shelf to put on top of the dresser to make it work for now. The screws are not very confidence inspiring, I don't want to strip them so I refuse to overtighten them, but as it sits the base is quite wobbly. Other TVs I have owned from Samsung and Sony have much, much better bases that are rock steady. I will end up getting a wall mount for the TV and that will address that issue once and for all. Overall though, the stats I care about the most, the TV shines. I consider this TV to be an excellent value and if you are going to wall mount it especially, this is the TV I would recommend. If they allowed me to give it 4.5 stars, I would without hesitation.

    Glitchy, horrible TV

    Absolutely horrible TV. Half of the apps will not work with it. They either won’t load or have an error. You have to force stop the apps and restart the TV and hope it will work for an episode or two. Pictures and icons don’t load well either. Extremely disappointed.

    Terrible image, horrible picture, garbage speakers

    QLED? No. 4K? Not likely. My computer in the 1990’s had better image quality. When people talk you can see how slow it is because their mouths are just blurry garbage. The speakers started to squeak on day 1. It didn’t recognize anything plugged into any HDMI port so not able to use DVD player or sound bar. Don’t waste your money!

    Probably used tv 3 or 4 times as it is in the guest room and now it does not work, it does what it wants and turns off randomly, sometimes won’t even turn on so total waste of my money will never buy anything insignia again

    Complete garbage Tv. I either got a dud or the reviews for this TV are fake. Two months after buying it, it flickers or flashes every few minutes. Avoid this at all costs.

    This TV is very much a mixed bag. The display is both intensely rich in color and unbelievably bright. Coming from an LCD panel, the contrast is remarkable. If you're used to "older" display panels in HDTVs, the difference here is analogous to that between AMOLED panels in smartphones versus LCD panels. Colors, just like AMOLED smartphones, are bright and extremely vivid but simultaneously saturated. Colors skew to the red and orange end of the spectrum on this set. If this is your preferred color temperature, you will absolutely love this display. Even the "natural" picture setting has an intensity that is wholly new to me, coming from LCD panels. If you want a set that can illuminate a dark room with robust color, the display will make you happy. Sound is actually extremely impressive on this set, too. Just using the internal speakers audio is comparatively loud and well-balanced. You won't feel an immediate need to grab a soundbar with this TV. Build quality is, well... good to very good. The entire frame is plastic, but it seems solidly built. There's a healthy array of HDMI inputs, too, if you need to connect game systems, BluRay players, and additional streaming devices. One positive that too few manufacturers pay attention to: the set is packaged very well and the screen is protected in its shipping box. That may sound silly to mention, but I've had to return more than a few TVs because of damaged displays resulting from bare bones packaging. If there's a major fault to this set, it's the software it runs. The Fire TV software is simply not ready for prime time. In a misguided effort to simplify the user experience, the software automatically does some obnoxious things, like shut off the set if you pause a program for too long. Plus, the streaming apps built in generally take longer to load and are more prone to playback problems than are the apps on the streaming device I have connected to the TV. Yes, precisely because of the problem behavior seen in some of the built-in apps, I'm still using my streaming device, and if you get this set there's a good chance you might be doing the same, too. In addition, though this was expected from Fire OS being Amazon's proprietary software, don't expect to see the full range of apps that you would see on a Roku or Android TV device. Beyond the performance of the streaming apps, Fire OS also makes things like granular adjustment of the television picture more challenging than other smart OSes do. This is my first Fire TV, and I'm kind of amazed, given how long Fire TVs have been in production, that there are so many issues with constrained functionality in the software. The best advice would be to get the set for the display panel, treat it like a dumb TV, and simply do your streaming through a dedicated streaming device. In short, if you really want a display with the kind of saturated, intense color characteristic of an AMOLED panel (with excellent sound to boot), and you're patient enough to wade through the headaches imposed by the OS, you'll be very happy with this television. The whites will absolutely blow you away the first time you see them (especially if you use this set in a completely dark room). If you prefer the cooler blue tones of an LCD panel, you;d best look elsewhere. For the asking price, though, this TV does produce a picture like sets that cost far more. Just be prepared to be cursing the OS if you pick this model up.

    The thickness of this Tv is like made in 1980, it looks horrible and the picture I don’t even want to talk about it, please before you purchase this Tv at least see it yourself in person, it’s trash

    I have had it 9 months and the picture is wavy. You can’t always notice it but at certain times part of the screen gets wavy
