Deep Blacks and HDR compatible!

Streaming Netflix in 4K HDR with my Xbox One S looks absolutely amazing on this TV. The Xbox One S recognizes this TV as being HDR compatible and there is even HDR picture settings in the TVs menu. The backlight uniformity is excellent! This TV also has options for motion interpolation (soap opera effect). The build quality is very good and the stand is made out of metal! This TV has a 6.5ms response time and a native 60hz panel. I'm very happy with the picture quality! Colors are nice and saturated and blacks are really deep!

I will keep it short and simple and say this is the best deal out there that checks the box for 4k and 55 inches. I also have an LG 4k 55 inch TV and I can honestly say I like this one better for 2 reasons: colors pop better and has roku built into the software. I plan on purchasing another one of these in the near future. Highly recommended.

I'm very impressed with this Insignia 55" TV with built-in ROKU with 4K Ultra HD. Item #NS-55DR620NA18. The sound quality is not bad, but could be improved. The picture quality is SUPERB! The colors jump out at you! And this is just the right size TV to own. Got a great price on a 1-day Flash Sale for $349.99. The pair of feet that come with this TV are Ok, if you've got a large enough area to set them on. I bought the single pedestal mount which set the TV at just the right height for where I have it sitting. Overall, and so far ... everything is working great! I did purchase the 5 yr warranty because of the way the warranty read, because if anything happens with-in the 5 yr period, they either have to come to my house and repair the problem or give me a Brand New TV if they can't. If you're slightly hearing impaired you might want to consider purchasing a 'Sound Bar' to enhance the sound, as the speakers are on the back-side of the TV. Don't know why they couldn't put the speakers where they projected the sound to the front? But that's my only complaint, which is minor.

I purchased this TV for my master bedroom and am, so far, very happy with it. It works well, is the perfect size for my bedroom, and the price was affordable! I’m a little concerned about the longevity of this TV as it is the “store brand” TV and was almost half the cost of other name brand TVs of the same size; however this is not the TV that we watch very often so I think it will be okay. I don’t know how long it would last for a family room or a living room TV where it is used more frequently. Overall, I’m very happy with the sound and picture quality as well as smart TV functionality and multiple USB and HDMI inputs.

Firstly this is my first TV purchase, and being an avid tech fan and follower I wanted to spend my money wisely and in the most efficient way possible.
Since Insignia is a BBY subsidiary brand I know I can rely on the service and warranty of BestBuy since they are everywhere. Plus Insignia uses parts from LG & other famous brands which is good.
Picture: The TV is huge, and the Picture is bright and clear. I have seen my friends 50" LG 4K tv and this is much better than that. I would recommend turning off the motion smoothing (pseudo 120hz refresh rate) I felt the picture was much better at the usual 60hz. (I leave the motion smoothing ON for the Xbox, but for chromecast and other inputs I switch it off, you can find this in the picture settings (*) and goto advanced picture settings)
Sound: again considering my frame of reference which is my parents 50" sony 4K & my friend's 50" LG this is on par with the heavy weights.
Assembly: Super easy, just follow the steps
Remote: simple and easy nothing fancy. I recommend the Roku app, I use the Tv at night and just plug my headphones into the phone and the Roku app streams audio through the app instead of TV which is useful.
Side comments:
1. The first couple weeks the heated plastic smell which comes for all the new TV's is strong with this one. But it subsided within 2.5 weeks.

I purchased this TV because of the built-in Roku and because I've never cared about spending top dollar for the super hd, ultra 4k and real-life like experience. We are pretty simple - we want a nice affordable TV that meets our needs. This TV replaced our 10 year old 42" plasma, which was only missing tech that we used heavily and now this TV resolves that and is an awesome upgrade!
The built-in Roku allows us to watch tv using our cable provider's Roku app! This is the primary reason we purchased it - one less box since it has Roku built right into it.
The TV is essentially a Roku box :) It's the best way I can explain it. it also saved us from having to flip through the TV input/sources annoyance, because on the home screen (which is a Roku home screen), you can select your inputs/sources right from it - it's so awesome!
Now on quality - I can't really judge. I've seen some good quality and some not so great quality, but it's hard to tell where the problem is?
Some YouTube videos look amazing, some look bad and the same goes for some content when using the cable provider's app.
Everything being 4k and UHD ready? We aren't there yet, so I'm not surprised. So this is another reason we weren't willing to spend so much money on a new TV.
Also chose this TV because I'm not into the full deep-end "Smart TV". It's slow, clunky and not ready. Maybe in another year - but not now. I don't want to be bound to my TV purchase, because of how much I paid, even though it will be slow and useless as the technology upgrades. This TV allows us to consciously agree and feel the investment was small enough, locks us into just Roku and still gives us the ability to add components for limitless entertainment - Nvidia Shield, Mi Box, etc.
Overall - this is a great TV for the money and the quality, flexibility and tech it provides.
Like everything else when it comes to tech - purchase what meets your need and helps you consume tech and entertainment the way you need.

I purchased this television over a year ago, on sale as part of Best Buy's fantastic Black Friday deals. To this day, I am more impressed with this TV compared to my brother's Vizio. The quality is fantastic. The TV itself is very easy to use and navigate through. The fact that the TV included Roku was just an added bonus. My friends and family compliment the size and quality of the tv as well. Overall, after a year with this TV, I am more than content with my purchase.

Features Excellent - Roku Based - tons of downloadable upgrades.
This TV has amazing quality for the price. I actually purchased the 50 inch & the 55 inch in this same brand for different rooms in the house.
The only complaint I really have is the feet on the bottom. The spacing makes it difficult to use on top of furniture that is not very wide.

If you are looking to ditch the cable box and stream, this is a great TV for the price. I’ve been a Samsung fan in the past, owning a 40” for the bedroom and a 55” 1080 dpi for the living room. I can honestly say that this 4K UHD image from Insignia blows the 1080 image away at an incredible price point! Save yourself some money! I love the Roku setup!

Didn't go into the store wanting a Smart TV but this is not complicated to use. I usually use a gaming console for apps such as Netflix but this TV allows you to access Netflix (or any other streaming) right from the TV home screen. Only giving 4 stars because no buttons on the TV and the remote isn't laid out well (no number buttons).

Wanted a Smart TV to improve streaming experience but was blown away with the 4K experience for the price! Real surprise with the ROKU - loved it much better than the Chromecast or Fire Stick that I have. My only reservation was the ROKU remote that had volume controls on the side. Bought a replacement INSIGNIA remote with no issues.

This is my first Smark TV and I love it! We on a budget right now, so I was a bit skeptical at the price/promotion for this size TV. Love the quality and color...impressive, but also love the the added Roku. It was very easy to set up too. Happy with this Smark TV, couldn't be more pleased.

The 4k tv has a great picture for blu ray or dvds, was easy to set up, the sound gets up pretty loud for not having surround sound, it was only $389.99 with my $10 off coupon and would buy again. Doesn't seem to have any problems so far. It was a gift for a family member

Great value for a 4k TV with Roku built in. The remote is a little different than the traditional remote, but will be very familiar to anyone who has used a Roku. Setup is quick and easy, and includes ability to set up without internet connection as well.

This is a 4K tv for ~$450.00 with a built in Roku player and an awesome deal. I already owned the 43" so when I saw the 55" go on sale I jumped on the deal. Lets not fool ourselves here, this is not a $6000 OLED TV but the picture is sharp, the colors are nice, and the Roku remote is almost grandma proof. Buy a more expensive TV if it'll make you feel better or you have money to burn. Or buy this, and a mount and a sound bar and an Xbox One S to watch 4K movies from nearly any source.

I consider myself a fairly casual viewer of TV and tend to watch sports and a few movies. The TV performance has been great. I have to turn down the monitor settings when watching movies to remove the "was the movie filmed with a video camera" look that comes with HDTV but for sports, it is amazing. We have it in a room with blackout drapes so we dont have light filtering into the room. The blacks are black. Color is good. The sound is not the greatest but it is fine for what I use it for. I may add a sound bar if I watch more movies on it. For the price, it is GREAT!
