First off I am a die hard Sony TV fan. I replace my TV's as soon as the new Sony is released. Unboxing was simple but not as simple as most TV's. Usually there are four plastic tabs to remove and the box lifts up to reveal the TV, this is set up to open the top of the box and the TV is in a bag that must be pried out of the box with two people. It made getting the TV removed and set up with one person difficult. The TV however was quite the surprise. Set up was easy and quite the experience. There was a neat tuturiol like when installing new software in a PC. It went over the features and explained in detail how to use them. Set up was easy except that with the mic remote control you would think you could speak into it your email address and info instead of using the remote to imput each digit. The video is crisp and vibrant, with zero bleed in. The settings aren't as detailed as higher end TV's but was able to do enough tweaking to get a desired picture. The audio is better than any flat screen TV speakers I have ever heard. I hooked up the TV to my surround sound, 4k player, network, satellite TV and HD antenna. All with great results. The processor isn't as fast as my Sony and I did notice some motion blur but overall the picture was very nice. The smart funtlxlctione and built in Alexa we're fun to play with as well. This TV will not replace my Sony's but it is a keeper and well worth the cost.

This TV has far exceeded my expectations for the price that I paid. The image quality is amazing and the Fire TV built in is much more user friendly and convenient than I expected. I am really enjoying it. The only issue with this TV is the feud between Amazon and Google preventing my YouTubeTV subscription from working. So I ended that subscription and I am doing trials with one of the numerous live TV services available on the Amazon platform.

I’ll preface this review with the fact that I am a complete Sony loyalist. Their TV’s are wonderful. The Sony 810C kicked off my love and obsession for 4k tv’s, followed by the 800D, 930D, 800E, 900E, and A1E OLED. I have slowly sold off all of them with the exception of the A1E. In between I also had a Westinghouse (decent picture, bad motion handling, awful input lag) and an entry level LG 4K (poor HDR picture). I found myself needing a bedroom TV and couldn’t justify dropping $1,000 on it. I looked over the Black Friday ad and didn’t really see anything I wanted, but luckily this set popped up and at the price ($249) it was a no brainer to give it a shot. I have been thoroughly impressed for the little bit I’ve done with it. 4k content looks good. Monday night football looks good. The menu layout with Alexa is brilliant and far superior to Sony’s android. The colors are good, the HDR can’t touch my Sony sets but it’s definitely serviceable. I’ll update my review once I get my PS4 Pro and XB1X hooked up. I would recommend this set to anyone that can’t afford to get a Sony or premium Samsung or LG.

Great Tv and easy set up . Followed instructions and didn't plug in until everything was hooked up. Have Cox cable connected with HDMI and no issues or reprogramming required. In minutes I was watching the NFL draft. Everything is great no complaints after a few days.

I bought this Insignia TV as well as the TCL 55S405 and the Vizio M55-F0, and watched all three side-by-side in my house for a few days. The TCL and Vizio were higher priced, had better specs and features, and rated better by review sites than this Insignia. However, when I viewed this TV next to those two, this was the keeper. Though it had the lowest price tag, it had the best picture and clarity in my opinion; the Vizio was very close to its crispness and clarity but this Insignia won out. The TCL was disappointing next to this. I also like the Fire TV integration, especially with the over-the-air channels with a TV guide. I plugged in my Roku to this TV and I was set. Great picture at an amazing price!

    Great TV on a budget

At first I was planning by the TCL 4 series, which is also a great TV. I was a little skeptical of the INSIGNIA brand. But the TV has very high reviews. So my wife and I thought why not. I was super happy about the built in Alexa and was worried that the TV and my Google home wouldn't work well. Suprisingly they do, even a Chromecast works great. Just make sure you turn on the "CEC" control. PROS: The picture quality is really good for a $300 tv. The built in Alexa is surprisingly handy. One thing my wife and I love is the speed of the TV, sure it's not lightning fast but it switches between inputs really quick. Viewing angles great as well. CONS: Alexa's voice is really loud compared to whatever is being watched. I'm sure it's a setting that I haven't found yet.

OK... it's not the greatest display/tv on the market, BUT... for $250, it's the best you will get. I am very happy with the set as my secondary TV. Once spending quite of bit of time with the settings, I came up with a fairly good looking picture. Pro's: Price! I paid $250 Picture... not bad. once adjusted Soiund... very good sound. Three HDMI 2.0 capable Smart TV... very good built in programs Cons: Limited remote control. Simple, but limited 60 HZ motion... Picture is a bit jumpy Limited picture and sound settings If I had paid $500, I would probably take it back, but for $250, it is fantastic! For $379, which is the listed price, there are other TV's available that I would probably strongly consider for just a few dollars more.

I have never written a review, but this TV makes me write one. I picked up this TV from Best Buy when I saw it was on "Deal of the Day" for 249$. Picked up one and I was blown away when I switched the TV ON. I had 3 Smart TVs at home already but this is way better than those 3. The display is good, the performance is good, the built in speaker's sound quality is good, the Silk Browser loaded faster and the Remote works great with faster response when typing. Very Nice TV with lots of features and apps

What an excellent TV, the best that I have bought to date. This was also our first “smart” TV, which had me a little worried because I have seen some friends’ smart TVs and they weren’t good at all - slow, laggy, and gimmicky features. But this TV is the best - fast, crisp picture, and actual features you would want to use. I’ve never had a Fire TV but WOW! You can literally install android apps and games on this thing. I haven’t pushed its limits yet, but for a tech guy like me, I’ll be excited to do so. Our Xbox One X displays 4K content beautifully, and the built in sound setup is amazing. All in all, great TV and I would certainly buy again.

Very good TV, was a warranty replacement! Other tv was good but (the tv was popping when we switch from HDMI 1 - HDMI 2 - HDMI 3) So, from Xbox 1 - Xbox X - Nintendo Switch - cable tv it would pop, then we lost a HDMI port. New model replaced old unit. Fire TV well received, great TV. Glad we bought the extended warranty. Only wish it had more HDMI ports (tv has 3)

Nice TV with some really annoying quirks

Bought this TV for $250, so I can't really complain, but I have some issues with it. Picture wise, like any Insignia, play around with it and you can get something that looks really good. I only had two really serious complaints that developed after a couple weeks. First, I noticed the sound is a bit out of sync. I didn't notice at first, but it seemed like motion wasn't flowing well and it got a bit jarring after a while. Finally, I looked up whether the sound was out of sync on these TVs, and apparently, it's been happening to many different models, from Sony to LG. After some playing around, following some tips on Youtube, I think I fixed the problem, but I still think it's slightly off. This can be fixed in a system update, so no biggie. The solution I was given was to set the Audio to PCM from Auto. The lip syncing is a lot more natural now. Secondly, you may want to put a parental pin on your TV. My dad was shown how to use my TV, but he forgot to turn my receiver on and ended up on Amazon's home page on the TV. He wanted to watch a Thursday football game and ended up signing me up for Prime twice. It was just that easy. That's just ridiculous. He didn't know any better, he just thought he was doing what he needed to do to watch the game. I had to put in a pin which now locks me out of the most ridiculous things, like changing the picture and audio settings. In reality, the pin should only be for anything that requires a purchase. In my opinion, this is the same Insignia brand TV I've faithfully bought over the years, but boot the Amazon stuff off as soon as possible or fix the UI, it's almost a dealbreaker.

Used this as our main tv and we only stream from apps and occasionally watch local sports with an antenna. No complaints except the remote didn’t seem to respond quickly at times and also not enough internal memory on it. When adding a flash drive it would still try to install to the tv first. Maybe I was missing something. Recently upgraded main tv and this will now be tv in the home office/man cave.

My wife and I bought this TV for an early Christmas gift and we have been very pleased with it!! This is our 1st "Smart TV" and it seems like I learn something new that it can do every time I turn it on. The picture is as clear as some of the more expensive TVs we looked at before we decided on the Insignia and the sound is great. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone, like us, who is just delving into Smart TVs.

I bought this tv just before Black Friday 2018. So far its great. Picture quality 4/5 as it is 60 HZ and when you will watch soccer you can identify the pixel distraction because of moving pictures. But compared to the value it's absolutely great buy. Also I can use phone as remote, I can connect home theater by bluetooth and Amazon Alexa is very handy. Sound quality is great. So far happy with my purchase.

I’m a huge fan or both smart TVs and fire devices. The problem is that there’s a bit of overlap between what the two can do and most smart TVs are limited in their app selection. This takes the added functionality of the fire stick and builds it right in without having to change inputs. The best of all worlds. Good picture and good volume. I bought 3 and if it came bigger I’d probably buy more.
