    Good value until it wasn't

    Worked well for a few years. Bought due to Alexa integrations. Unfortunately, a little less than two years in, the TV screen just blacked out; can still hear the sound and see a flash of info for a moment when turned on, but then...blackness. It's a shame because it was a great deal and though the picture, contrast, color etc. was not incredible it was a great value. Now I know why... 10 months past warranty.

    Do Not Buy an INSIGNIA TV

    I had this TV a little over 3 years. last night the screen went black. When I turned it off and then back on,the start up screen flickered once. I could hear "clicks' when I used the remote but no picture at all. I do not recommend buying ANY INSIGNIA brand TVs. Every other TV I have had that were flat screens that I bought from Besy Buy lasted at least 8 years. Not this one. Extremely disappointed.

    Worked great for 1 1/2 years. Then all of a sudden no picture. Still had sound. Expected it to last a lot longer.

    this tv was great with what you can put on it. But it didn't even get me to 3 years before the lighting went out. Its too expensive to fix it because they are not built to do that. You have to replace the whole screen which is just about the same cost to replace it. Second insignia I have had that has died on me. I have had a Samsung for about 7 or 8 years that I don't have problems with. Before buying please Google this issue. Its very common with this TV and insignia in general.

    Junk Product, Junk Customer Service

    I picked up this TV on March 24, 2020 at the Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin location. This morning, November 29, 2020, the TV went black. Took it to Best Buy per the manufacturer's warranty instructions, which is Best Buy. This product is made and sold by Best Buy. The Geek Squad guy said this is a manufacturer's defect but that they needed to send it out for possible repair, which could take up to 4 weeks. In the meantime, I'm without a TV. The manager on duty was less than helpful. Instead of apologizing for Best Buy manufacturing and selling a product that didn't last 1 year, he lectured me on the fact that I didn't purchase the Best Buy warranty. He then stated that this is like the manufacturer warrant for every other product, like Samsung or LG. Except it isn't. This is a Best Buy product. Now, I have to buy another TV while Best Buy determines whether to fix the TV or not. This is absolutely absurd customer service, particularly where this is an in house brand. I will not be purchasing anything from Best Buy. And I will letting everyone I know about the junk product and junk customer service.

    Not worth buying

    I have never had a tv go out on me. I have had tv’s last since I was 16. That I still have. I wanted a smart tv since I only watch Hulu and Netflix. Now my tv flashes on on for 1 second then goes black. I can still hear it playing. Now I have to find a new tv or get this one fixed. After paying someone I might as well just get a new one.

    It was a nice set but Unfortunately after just over 4 years the TV stopped working...and the repair would have cost more than a buying a new one. Doesn't anything last any more?

    I guess you get what you pay for. The TV lasted almost 2 years. We have other Insignia TV’s that weren’t 4K that are still in use. When the time came to get a bigger TV we went with this brand again as they have always been good. The TV’s backlight went out and although it powers on you can barely see the image. Fixing this problem seems to cost more than buying another and seems that this may be by design. Needless to say we went with a different brand and have lost faith in Insignia.

    Great picture but since having the TV for a month the sound goes mute and then returns constantly! Very annoying.

    Didn't last but 3 years!!!

    This tv was perfect until it turned 3 years old. The power supply went out, cost to repair? $250 or more! Won't be buying another Insignia product! I bought an Insignia freezer a few months ago, we'll see how long that lasts. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS TV. It's like I rented it for $11 per month!

    Lasted 3.5 years. Was good performance for the money. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone who’s not tech savvy since this tv requires some minor troubleshooting regarding apps. I.e clearing the cache, factory resets, etc.

    The TV was working fine until recently. The TV turned off on its own and when I turn it on, I see the screen for a fraction of second and then it turns off. Tried everything to fix it but nothing worked. What a waste!!

    The TV was great for 3 years..... then right after my extended warranty expired it stopped working. Flashes on for a second, then no picture..... but sound still works.

    I'm not sure what all the great reviews for this TV are? Maybe I received a bad unit. While I understand this is a low cost 4k smart TV the unit I have has horrible blacks. On black scenes I have streaking down the picture. Also about 2 inches down I can see that there are pixels that are faintly darker that other areas, almost like a box. I will be returning the TV, unsure if I will exchange or replace.

    Acceptable picture - audio sync problems

    Even using the internal speakers, I am having noticeable problems with the audio going out of sync with the video. Restarting apps helps, but it goes out again. On the Silicondust site, I discovered others are having this problem with Fire TV and HDhomerun.     Was an ok tv when it worked but after only 3 years it stopped working. I have a 12 year old vizo tv that still works great. Will not buy Insignia brand again.

    Bought this tv 2 yrs ago and it no longer works. Also bought same brand, 39” around the same time as this tv and that is on its way out as well. Not buying Insignia products any more

    I purchased this for my parents in November 2019. It was great until the screen went black. In this day and age of electronics it should of last many more years! Don’t waste your money!
