Now there is no audio output I cannot get the TV speakers to turn on. No help from The Geek Squad, no help from insignia. Only relief would be to bring it back to the store after I have spent hours mounting it, cable management and custom wall mount. The Insignia rap had the audacity to tell me that my external television antenna was causing the issue that the internal speakers could not be forced on. What a bunch of malarkey.

Stopped working after a year .

Coincidentally went out 20 days after warranty and they could not help me, even though it was an manufacturer issue that we could not prevent and did not cause.

short life span

After 2 1/2 years, while watching the morning news, screen went blank. Sound still there, just no picture. Tried off and on. Tried unplugging, plugging back in. Tried smart vs. other inputs. Same. No 4k picture. No picture at all. I can see why this model is discontinued. Have other (non smart) Insignia TVs that have lasted for many years.

Great as a wall decoration

I tried playing a 4k disc and every few minutes the screen goes dark and the sound goes off. After a number of tests I finally narrowed it down to HDMI 2. I tried a new 4k player, different disks, and a different hdmi port. This TV just sucks and I'm out 300 bucks. I know you probably won't read this because of the overwhelming amount of positive reviews but take it from someone who has spent time using the TV, not someone who gave it five stars after a one time use. Spend a little extra and buy something of higher quality.

Thermal crack interior

Then last week I turned it on a white mark with lines coming from it was on the screen. No external damage. I was told by Insignia it was a thermal crack. Best buy said they own Insignia a would not honor the warranty. They will not post the pictures with the proof.

Voices don’t match

Because we travel for the holidays we did not hook it up until the beginning of January. A week after every app other than Netflix was not working. The sound does not match the mouths of the actors, there is a huge delay. It’s like watching a terrible foreign film with voice over gone wrong. I had to ask my mother for the receipt and when I got it, it said Black Friday deals could not be returned after a certain date... the day before! Ugh! Now Netflix isn’t even working. Such a waste of money! If an Insignia person reads this, please feel feel to replace this TV!

DO NOT BUY

I could not get past the Pair Remote screen. Even though the remote will select and turn the tv on and off, it just refused to pair & go to the next screen. I contacted customer support and did all the trouble shooting that they had to offer and still NOTHING.! I had to return the TV TWO HOURS after buying it.

I just bought this TV 3/2020, it is not 12/2020 and this tv does not work. The remote has been going out beginning two months after original purchase. Not only that, but since day one the TV/Remote connectivity is not there meaning the TV doesn’t respond to the remote (I’ve replaced batteries MULTIPLE TIMES along) I do not have children nor pets that could have affected the remote/TV; in fact, the TV HARDLY EVER GETS USED as it sits in a spare bedroom, possibly being used 2-3x a month, for no longer than an hour each time.

Lasted 1.5 years

Less than a year later, the tv was blacking out and only audio was working. I called to setup a repair splint but due to covid, they weren’t fixing any. Fast forward to today, I am apparently out of luck since the warranty policy recently changed and they cannot fix my tv. May I add I had to call about a dozen times to get a straight answer. What a bummer - what good is a product if you can’t rely on it lasting a decent amount of time? Will NEVER buy another Insignia tv. Terrible customer service!

Screen blacks out periodically

It goes dark for a second or 2, sound stays on, screen comes back, then goes dark again for another second or 2. This happened about 1 time per week back then, but fast forward to today and it happens 2 to 3 times per hour now. I should have used the warranty when I first saw this, but i thought it was my display settings. After cycling through all the possibilities over the last few months, I can confirm it's just a crap tv. I'll stick with the main brand TVs from now on.

Piece of crap from Best Buy

We called the number included with paperwork, as we thought we were calling Insignia. Ended up it was Best Buy Geeksquad. They knew NOTHING of what was wrong with the TV. It's their brand and they don't know diddly. Needless to say, we took it back the same day we bought it. It's a piece of crap TV.

Is that all a TV lasts nowadays, 3 years?!? I have a smaller Insignia in my bedroom that has worked just fine for 15 years and that is why I bought it. I'm being told that 3 years is good for TVs now. I guess cheap is cheap

The screen can’t keep up with the color transitions in some instances. Most importantly, I have to unplug it and restart it multiple times DAILY because it won’t load or connect to an app even though my Ethernet cable is directly hooked up to the TV itself and it constantly signs me out of accounts on apps too. I wouldn’t recommend this Television to anyone. Pay a little more and get something better, this isn’t worth the headache

CRAP TV

I tried to troubleshoot it and no luck. I am real disappointed because I have had other TVs for 15 year but it seems the life span of this tv is only 5 years. Well this is the last time I will buy INSIGNIA TVS. I will pay extra $$ for a better brand.

worst tv i have ever owned
