Poor performance of 2 year old Insignia TV

I am having to buy this TV to replace a different 55" Insignia model that lasted just 2 years, which is totally ridiculous. The cost of repair for my dead TV is as much as buying this one ($329) new. Best Buy, I am only buying this because of price. If I could find an alternative for the money, I would never buy an Insignia product again and I currently own 4 of them. To say I am very disappointed, as a very loyal customer, is a HUGE understatement !!!

    Don’t buy this TV!

Went into Best Buy a couple weeks ago to get a TV and saw this one was on sale for under $300, decided to just buy it before reading the reviews. The lip sync audio is completely off. Tried to reset the audio settings, didn’t work. Tried to pause to see if the audio would be able to catch up, it doesn’t. I’ve had this problem since I got the TV, but unfortunately I threw the box away along with the receipt after I’d bought it. Just go for the more expensive option, the lip sync audio being off will drive you nuts.

    Insignia TVs are garbage.

TV took a crap after 2 years. Never spent $500+ on a TV and had it die on me so quickly. Then Geek Squad wanted to charge me $100 just to come trouble shoot it bc I didn’t get insurance on it. Ridiculous. I shouldn’t have a TV that dies after 2 years. With or without insurance. Can still hear the audio. Screen just flashes for a sec and goes blank. Piece of garbage.

My TV stopped working last night after only 2 years and 4 months and 2 weeks. The screen went black I could hear the cursor moving but tv stayed black. When I buy a tv I expect them to last at least 5 years and I found a bunch of people also having same issue between 2-3 years. So don’t buy this tv absolutely awful and to only last a couple of years is ridiculous

    DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TV!!!!

I wish it was possible to write a 0 star review. TV lasted for 1 year and 2 months and after that BEST BUY will NOT offer any repairs or services for their faulty products. If you don't pay for their warranty you're out all of the money you spent and they're NOT willing to work with you in any capacity. Do NOT buy this TV solely for its value as it will break soon after and you're out of money.

Seem laggy and slow. 4K wasn’t all that and when you play Netflix it adds bars regardless. Also the audio sync didn’t seem to match up sometimes. I went and exchanged this for the 1080p version and it was way better! Also save you little bit of $ as well. If you like 4K ultra hp soo opera look then go for it.

    Im going back to ROKU!

Terrible terrible system. The screen looks pretty good but fire tv system is terrible, I had to constantly restart through settings because the apps would crash or not even start. Youtube connection with my cellphones was terrible, it worked when it wanted. CBS app would keep running when TV was turned off. I returned the TV (even when it was $250 on sale) and now I'm just waiting for a ROKU deal, which I already know, I won't have any problems.

Bought this tv based on the reviews and couldn’t believe how pixelated the picture is. Spend the extra money and get a Sony or Samsung.

This television was really nice but it did not last. My daughter used it primarily to watch the Disney channel for an hour in the evening and maybe two hours on a Saturday or a Sunday. It didn't last, I am not used to such poor quality in electronics. Purchased it in November of 2017 and it is dead today.

Broken after less than 2 years

My TV lasted less than 2 years. A couple days ago while watching a program, the video suddenly went out. Audio remained on. I tried unplugging the TV several times with no success. Granted it didn't cost a lot of money but I expect ANY TV to last longer than 2 years. I will never buy another Insignia product.

I bought this tv 13 months ago, tonight it suddenly went out & will not come back on. I called the insignia hotline & they had me try all the usual things. When that didn’t work they told me that I could take it to any repair place of my choice at my expense or try best buy to see if they would honor the 1 Year warranty even though it was 1 month past. Yeah like that’s gonna happen. Don’t waste your money

I only had my tv for 2 years and it alrdy stopped working. The screen goes black while watching a movie and u can only hear the audio. I’m disappointed caused it’s not my first insignia Tv but it is my first fire Tv so I guess that’s where I went wrong. Never again

I bought this tv in 2019 and now it's not working a tv repairman (family friend) and rep from Geek Squad (via telephone) said it's the back light. Both suggested buying a new tv. This is insane and I cant even get a geek squad rep to come see if they can repair it. No more insignia or best buy for me!

Stopped working less than 4 years of using it, the dreaded backlight issue. There's sound but no picture. Would never buy another one of these. I have other TV Brands going on 7 years with no issues
