Excellent non-smart TV. I've managed to dodge the smartTV revolution once again. Not really interested in the 4K either as none of the broadcast, cable or streaming services I use are in 4K. I even compared this 1080P models versus the 4K comparable model in the store and really couldn't tell the difference. Besides I use a ROKU box to make this dumb TV smart. This is my fourth Insignia TV and all are still running fine. Although, to be honest now that Insignia TVs are increasingly only offered as FireTV models, this will probably be my last. I doubt I'll be able to find another non-smart TV in the future and will most likely end up with a ROKU TV model.

I got this tv on sale for 249.99. I already had a firestick and a chromecast, so no need for an embedded device. Crisp picture. Lightweight. Awesome tv for the price.

We have become loyal Insignia TV buyers. We had one for 15+ years before the backlight (or something) started dimming after being on for 10 mins or so. This is our 3rd and the aforementioned issue is the only one we've had so far. The TV is baseline for tech these days. We are completely satisfied with the picture quality and sound, especially for the price mark. We also love that the TV is NOT smart and hope that Insignia will keep marketing TVs that lack the smart technology. Best bang for your buck, easily.

This was about the only choice for a non-smart tv, but it was an excellent choice! It’s very light and we will eventually mount it to a wall instead of sitting on a stand. It was very easy to setup and did not take long to start watching. This tv replaced an Insignia 42” plasma that I bought almost 10 years ago. If I can get that kind of life out of this tv I’ll be a happy camper!

I caught this tv online as a clearance item at our local store. Unfortunately, we were in a national crisis and the local Best Buy was participating in curbside pick up only, which left me to purchase without seeing it first. I was pleasantly surprised when my husband got everything connected and mounted to the wall. The picture was awesome!

    Audio Delay

We bought the 55" tv last week and from day one the audio was off. I called Insignia and they told me there is an Audio Delay setting (I wonder why anyone would actually want an audio delay?) on the tv and to mess with that and see if I could get it to work. I tried to adjust the setting but it didn't work. The only way to get the audio to sync up with the picture is to either turn the tv on/off or unplug it and plug it back in. We have to do this several times even during one tv show. I called Insignia again and the rep told me to unplug it and and hold the on/off button in for 15 seconds and then plug it back in. I told her the audio did sync up again but that it does that any time we unplug it. I told her I would give it a day or so and see if it goes out of sync again. It did. Almost immediately after our phone call. So unfortunately we have to pack this thing back up and return it. She offered to have the Geek Squad come out and try to fix it but if it's not working correctly right out of the box then I don't have high hopes it's going to last very long. I feel bad because it seems like a nice TV otherwise. It looks great and the picture quality is pretty nice as well.
