No. Does it do 95% of what you would want from a 4K TV for a fraction of the cost? Yes. Great product, great price. For those interested, TCL manufactures the TVs for Insignia/Best Buy, so you know that you're at least getting something quality.

The picture quality and sound are both pretty good. One qualm I have is when im using the remote, sometimes the television takes a little time to catch up to what im pressing. Doesnt happen often though and the price for what you get really makes up for it.

For the extra 40 bucks it’s worth getting the QLED in my opinion. I have a LG OLED as the main tv and this tv doesn’t stick out as being not good quality. But I do know the longevity is sometime an issue
