    Buyer Beware! Junk TV, Scam Warranty

    My TV turned on one day with 4 thin, vertical lines, which is typically a defect in the control board. This occurred 7 months after purchase. I called Best Buy Warranty service to have the TV looked at. I booked the appointment, which was a month out, only to have techs show up without warning at my home twice a few days BEFORE the scheduled appointment. Since I was out of town and missed them both times, they canceled my appt. When I called to reschedule and told the agent about all the shenanigans they pulled, they said they would have someone return my call in 24 hours. They never called back. I learned 2 things with this: 1. Insignia TVs, owned by Best Buy, are hot garbage and 2. their warranty is meaningless. I will warn others of my experience and I will never buy another TV from Best Buy again.

    Don't buy this TV brand; it's very poor. It doesn't allow downloading apps like Discovery, Peacock, and others.

    The power cord doesn't fit into the the tv. i had to use tape to hold it up . In which i was really disappointed in because its supposed to be a new tv. But i guess you get what you buy

    Works well most of the time. Often had issues where the TV won't connect to fire tv app. Will have to unplug tv and then plug it back in to reconnect. Purchased in October 2022 and in July 2023 screen randomly froze and now has permanent black screen. Waiting for warranty to repair/replace. Just invest in a better quality tv if you can and save yourself the heachache.

    The tv is very nice but I have a problem that I had never had. The control runs out of battery without using it. and it is a lot to change battery

    Regarding the product itself, we have had issues with it almost since we got it. But with a 15 day return period we did not detect the issue in time to get our money back. Make sure you test it well within that return period! The screen would randomly go blank and turn back on. Sometimes the entire TV would freeze up where the only option was to unplug it and plug it back in. And yes we were keeping the software up to date, so that was not it! Recently it got worse where the TV would not turn on at all. Fortunately there was a manufacturer warranty, and they are coming out to service it.

    The TV itself was a breeze to setup and I loved that it had firetv built in, but I was sorely disappointed with the picture quality. For being a 4K tv the quality even at 1080p or 4K was horrible. It looked blurry and could not handle any sort of motion. Giving 2 stars due to the ease of setup and price, but if you’re looking for anything quality I’d look somewhere else. I’ve had great success with Vizio for the last 10 years and would highly recommend that brand.

    I've only recently notice that sometimes while watching TV the picture ripples. It mimicks a wave like motion in water. I'm not sure when it started but It's annoying. I've not even had this TV for a year.

    TV turns off on its own. TV won't turn back on until you un plug and plug back in. Volume drops off and you have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work.

    I bought this tv on October 12th, 2022 and by December of 2023 it has died. Best buy won’t do anything since i’m out of the one year warranty by two months and they want $125 just to look at it. DO NOT PURCHASE.
