Given the very short cord of the controller that comes with the NES Classic system, you need an extension cable like this unless you are sitting right next to the screen.

works well, responsive.. two extension cords will not work at the same time. The connector piece is too large, cannot fit two extender cords into the NES at the same time

The controller cable length that comes with the NES Classic Edition are way too short. This fixes that problem. I bought 2 and made a super long one... Haha. Works great!

Unfortunately the original nintendo controller cord is crazy short so unless you want to sit 1 foot from the TV this extension cord is a must. So far it seems durable.

I bought this for my nes mini classic. the length of cord that is the the controller is way too short. I now can sit at a comfortable distance and play classic games.

I purchased this so it can be used with the NES Mini Classic System and it works perfectly. You will need this since the included controller has a very short cord.

The cord is far too short on the controllers for the NES Classic. This extends it an additional 6 feet, allowing me to play without sitting too close to the tv.

These cables allow you to play your NES Classic Edition without having to sit right in front of it. And they seem to do the job fine, though I could swear that every so often, one of my button presses doesn't register. Could just be my imagination though. It doesn't happen often either way.

This is a much needed piece of equipment. I don't think that Nintendo really thought about the cord length of the controller. This takes care of that problem.

You will need to have a small screw driver to unscrew the clear plastic clips. I only use them with the Nintendo Classic Mini. Great cords and not bothersome.

Got these for the new NES classic as it makes using the new system difficult if you don't have these controller extensions. They work great now I can sit on my couch and play instead of being 2 feet infront of my tv. Only issue I have with this product is that it came with a clear plastic piece held with two metal screws on one of the connectors of the extension. with this plastic piece on you can only have one controller plugged into the NES system. So I had to remove the screws and remove the plastic piece and replace the screws in order to use two controllers. Not a big deal but still not something I was expecting to have to do.

Just what I needed to be able to sit on the couch and be able to play the system. 6ft cords that come with the original controllers are just not long enough.

The new classic nes comes with a 3" long cord so you have to sit very close to the tv. With this it allows you to sit back comfortably and play. A must have

The original NES Classic Controller's wire is pretty short, so you'll need to be really close by the TV. Really recommened to pick up the extension cord.

The product works perfectly fine for your NES Classic, but you'll need a small phillips head screwdriver as there is a plastic clip that must be removed if you want to do two player play (a remnant of it being a Wii accessory), but once it's out of the way you'll be good to go.

The nes cord is short. Very short. This is a must have, unless you want to kick it old school in sit directly in front of the tv like when you were a kid :)

The NES and SNES controller cords are too short. Nintendo doesn’t make extensions, this is the best option on the market. Might as well be nintendo.

You really should get this extension cord if you purchased the NES Classic Mini. Not needed to play but do you really want to sit that close to the tv?

It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I only wish it was about 2 to 3 feet longer. The insignia controller has a longer cord, making it a better option than this plus the factory controller. Still, a great product that keeps you from having to sit 18" from the screen.
