The Chromebox has one HDMI port and one Displayport. It was hard to find a HDMI-Displayport cable but this one is solid. It's just the right size, stays in securely and provides and excellent display.

This was both on my Denon AVR and on a soundbar. So I verified that on two separate systems. Also, this cable fails to pass HDR signals to two different display panels when paired with an AMD GTX 1070. I was able to order a different DisplayPort to HDMI adapter that worked fine for ARC and HDR display. So it is not a limitation of DisplayPort technology. For the price of the cable I was disappointed in the performance. If you have HDR displays or ARC audio receivers this is not a good cable. It may be fine for sub 4K displays and non-advanced audio.

It would flicker the screen and turn the monitor off or my computer would just not recognize it at all. I managed to get it working, I'm too lazy to return it.

Now before you go slapping me with science, and the electro-chromeograph results of Ultra High Def 4k+ fidelity let me say this - when did you use all that equipment and measuring devices to just watch Netflix in 4k? You didn't. Ever. So if you want an HDMI cable that is decently priced as far cables go this is it.

Requirement could only be met by the stock of two different Best Buy stores (5 units). They were overpriced by a factor of four, but they got us out of a difficult situation.

Works great too.
